Visited here whilst on an exchange visit in October 2012 Lovely, clean hotel. Food was amazing. The yukatta in the rooms were great to relax in. Very peaceful. If I could live anywhere else on this earth, it would be on this beautiful island.

On our trip to Japan we had decided to stay in traditional Japanese accommodations, Ryokans or Minshukus. This hotel is situated, probably a half a mile from the ferry port, and you can call the hotel from the ferry and they will pick you up. The hotel is very clean but a little dated, and showing the years. We had... More

Hotel was great. Pick up from Ferry port to the Hotel was very convenient and we were admonished for not using the service to be picked up at night. Rooms were comfortable and we appreciated the views. My husband used the onsen and he found that great. We had both the Japanese and Western breakfast during our stay which were... More

This traditional Ryokan accomodation was a little more costly than most other choices but totally worth the experience. The food they served that was included in the cost of the hotel was phenominal! Loved sitting on the veranda taking in the seaside view. It was cold when I visited so the hot baths where great also if you're not afraid... More

I was in this hotel looking for a Ryokan experience, but more than traditional it had been high-class "ryokan-like" hotel one. Everything had been great, wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Our room had traditional furnishing, the personnel was amazing, probably among the few best I had in all my travels. The hotel has also a beautiful public bath wich I... More

We stayed at this traditonal hotel for a night when touring in Japan. The experience was really good and I would recomend it to those who have not had any experience staying at a Ryokan before, as it is not too drastic and it still keeps some western style commodities. The fact that is not at the center of the... More

The hotel is quite old, but I guess it helps to keep the ambiance... Beautiful location, our room had an explendit view to the see, we walked around and it felt great. They have a free shuttle to the center which helps, as it is quite isolated. The food was really tasty and served in our rooms while we were... More

This hotel was absolatley amazing! On arrival at the hotel we were giving our slippers and sent up to our traditional Japanese room. The room was awesome. It had an amazing view of the sea, the bathroom was clean and so was the room, the tatami mats was great and the futon was comfy and warm. The hotel offered an... More

I'm surprised to see so many positive reviews of this place. The owners need to spend some money to update just about everything. They did warn that the hot water takes awhile to reach your room; but after letting the water run for over fifteen minutes, I gave up and opted for a cold (low pressure) shower. The resort is... One of the cheaper places to stay in Miyajima as it doesn't have a view of the Ohtori gate. It's a good walk into town but there's a regular mini-bus going form the hotel. We found if you just asked at reception the guy would take you down any time you liked! Only a public Onsen compared to some that... More
