Room was spacious but bit tired. We took the breakfast plan - this was served in the restaurant - miso soup was wonderful - we had a huge pot between the two of us. Everything was adequate. Hotel located near to village centre.

We stayed for one night in our three weeks trip around Japan. The rooms are very outdated plus the service is not as good for Japanese standards. They couldn't serve us breakfast and even recommended a below average restaurant for dinner. There's better accommodations in the island...

The hotel had really big rooms, which I believe are designed for at least 4 people staying in them. The public bath was nice, and it had a cool atmosphere to it. Nothing more special about it. I REALLY suggest for you to buy some food you can take with you to Miyajima if you plan to stay there for... More

I've spent two nights there. Big japanese style rooms, actually they are based on 4 people occupation. The location is good, after all Miyajima is quite small. The kimono they offer is intend for wearing it at all the hotel depences and also in the streets of the island. The puplic japanese baths are small but funny. Breakfast is ok,... More

Thanks to the good TA reviews, I chose to stay in this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. From the moment I arrived at their door, I received a rousing IRISHAIMASE from all the hotel staff that were in the lobby. Upon registration, they gave me a cold face towel to wipe my sweaty face and a glass of brown rice... More

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. It is Japanese with futons and kimonos. But very expensive for what they offer. Rooms are clean but run down and basic. Our room smelled funny, when we complained at the reception they said they'd check but nothing was done about it. The island is lovely but after five everything closes...even the... More

This was the second hotel we stayed in while traveling through Japan and what a beautiful place, I didn't want to leave, large traditional rooms sleeping on the tatami floor was a highlight, I had the best night sleep of the whole trip. the bathrooms were good and clean well stocked.

A great place to take time out and rest for a day or two. Easy walk from the ferry terminal. Dinner was a splendid affair where you were served 4 courses. The public bath hit the spot after all the walking we did. Nice walking/ running tracks near by. The staff have been efficient.

Miyajima is very lovely and this place is a nice place to stay. The standard is ok bit you could expect more for that price. The food is traditional Japanese food and very good. The service is very good.

My wife and I stayed in this ryokan for one night and it was a pleasant experience. Not difficult to find – 10 minute walk from the pier. We checked in quickly (even my name was written at the entrance), and then a lady in kimono accompanied us to the room and prepared a tea. Our room was very big,... More
