Simply a gorgeous spot. Nicely laid out rooms, many with incredible views and comfortable rooms. A fabulous breakfast over looking a large pool, which overlooks everything else! Super nice staff including your own personal greeter, the owners dog! The views are stunning, but climb to the top of the "lookout" and it even gets better!

The night we checked in, we were very excited! The place looked great, nice ambiance. We put our stuff up and decided to have a few drinks and some dinner at the restaurant. Bartender/server/owner was very nice and accommodating. After dinner we were informed we needed to make reservations in order to eat breakfast, so that the cook knew how... More

Greetings! I appreciate your comments. After your stay for the Envision festival, as of March 15, 2015, we are a new management team in place at Hotel Lookout. Many improvements and general freshening are currently underway. We will reopen in a few weeks and it is my hope that you will return to the Lookout in the future. I know... More

A friend and I spent a week here in April 2015, after new management was in place. John was very friendly and accommodating; he offered suggestions on local restaurants and activities, and could not be more helpful. The Lookout Hotel is a very relaxing, wonderful place. The view is awesome, the pool clean and inviting, and the new, very talented... More

We checked in with ease, our room was ready even though we arrived early. John the manager was very knowledged about the area and gave us some recommendations on restaurants of where to have dinner that evening. He also let us know that they did have a full menu available for dinner. We hung out at the pool for the... More

First time I spent a night at the Lookout, nice place but need refreshing. The room I got with my roommate was very small, one small fan over the main bed but nothing for the single bed. Bathroom was more fit for a kid than an adult. Almost need a 4/4 to get to the motel. Could find better for... More

After traveling up the coast from Playa Carate and staying at The Lookout Inn Lodge just outside the Corcovado National Park, which was insanely magical, we landed here at Hotel Lookout. After a 4 hour drive, we were "greeted" by the male owner who was not inviting in the least. He quickly asked us if we would be eating dinner... More

The hotel and grounds are very nice with its terracotta and its restaurant overlooking the Pacific with its amazing sunsets. The Heart of Palm salad was amazing! The bar is very nice, as are the rooms with a nice large shower. We stayed in #8 which I believe is the most private room of all. Lots of grounds for our... More

We got there by bus and it was a little adventure, first trying to find the right bus, then findind out we had to walk up a "little hill". Nothing so bad, but it's good to have in mind that to get there you will have to drag your suitcases up the hill. A wise decision when going to this... More

Having traveled from Canada by motorcycle and experiencing dozens of Hotels along the way, this one was fantastic. Nice signage to find your way, excellent flow from reception to your room. All the details seemed to be addressed. A quick tour and explanation before paying ensured you knew what to expect. To get a mountain view, you must first climb... More
