We really enjoyed our 9 day stay at Diquis. It was quiet, and peaceful but very nice to meet other guests at the pool or restaurant during breakfast. Every day we looked forward to a yummy breakfast and several times we also had dinner there. The cabin had a furnished kitchen, but with so many good restaurants around , we... More

Diquis del Sur is an excellent location with friendly manager and a perfect base to make interesting trips. We loved the environment, many different birds, butterflies, monkeys and of course our kids favorite friendly hotel dog Wendy. We stayed at the smaller bedroom cabins, which was a nice cabin with good facilities. The second part of our stay was a... More

We came there and have reservation for 5 people apartment. We met Javier and he showed us our apartment. As we needed kitchenette, he found excellent solution for us. The breakfast was also very interesting and delicious. We were very satisfied here.

This is a long overdue review. We were visiting Costa Rica in May and stayed at a little guest house down the road from Diquis. Our hostess recommended we go to Diquis for breakfast. At the time they had no guests there, but the owner Renee was there doing laundry and offered to make us breakfast anyway. She let us... More

It was my first time traveling to Costa Rica, and even in South America. We have decided a little bit last minute our trip, so we did not really had the chance to plan everything, such as the activities and what we wanted to see. I have to admit that I was feeling a little bit insecure about the language... More

I will start with what I liked, I stayed at Diquis with a friend during the off season, It is a very pretty hotel with little cabanas that have a kitchen, small bathroom and bed, late 80s FLORIDA decorations. I loved the outdoors, lots of flowers, plants and the pool was nice. The dinning room is also very cute, open... More

There is error on the date since Diquis was closed in October ... Regarding your remarks on the food, we inform you that we have taken back the restaurant. Was in concession since November 2013 and the people who had it left at the end of February. Was not a good experience for the Diquis. More

We stayed here for 4 days as the second part of our month long honeymoon around Costa Rica. Diquis was clean and comfortable and set within lovely garden surroundings (with AMAZING sunsets). The cabina was basic but clean and comfortable (which is all we needed). Renee and Pierre were great hosts, booking a tour of Sierppe for us and securing... More

Sorry for the delayed review -- we stayed here 10 months ago. To start with the pros: The hosts are indeed friendly and accommodating, and the cottages are situated very well for the breeze, which means they cool off and air out without AC. However, the cottages are tired and the pool was a bit grungy. The layout/decor of the... More

What a lovely setting and accommodating people....do not miss the adjoining restaurant and the best pie ever...passion and star fruit that was heavenly. We went ther for lunch, spent the day and plan to return for a couple of months as they rent homes, cabanas and rooms. Not far from the beach but elevated high enough to have gently breezes... More

We spent 3 days at Diquis in September 2013. The setting is beautiful, the cabins are comfortable, clean, and fully equipped, and Renee and Pierre are warm and helpful hosts. For kids there is a great swimming pool and even a playground on the grounds. Dinners were relaxing and delicious. There's so much to do in the area (Marino Ballena... More
