Lovely, friendly, welcoming small hotel. This place is definitely one of Portugal hidden secrets. can sit on the balcony and hear the sea, cow bells and birds. Fantastic sun traps were you can sit for hours with a glass of wine from the honesty bar and get lost in a book. The evenings were a little chilly when i was... More

Went with my wife for a three day visit, it's greatly located in a beautiful countryside area, near both of Carrapateira's beaches (Amador and Bordeira). The whole area is so nice, a peaceful place, with friendly service. Breakfast is great, the pool area is cool, and everything seems to run smoothly.

I was looking for an off-the-beaten-track spot in southern Portugal and Casa Fajara fit that desire exactly. The hotel is in the old-school, lodge style. The rooms are modern with in-floor heating and good wifi, but the layout and size make the hotel feel very cozy and manageable. My visit was during the off season, but Derek, the manager, did... Casa Fajara is set in a lovely secluded spot set back from the sea. We really enjoyed the homely feel, with every detail considered, and the excellent service from Derek and his team. Nothing was an inconvenience for them during our three day stay. Two fabulous beaches are very near, with a breathtaking scenic drive/bike ride between them (we did... More

The positioning of this farmhouse is close to the beautiful beaches of the Algarve west coast in the natural park. The only sounds you can here are the gentle cow bells and local birdlife. My father spent hours painting pictures from his terrace of the valley which was truly breathtaking. My parents have returned and always consider this place to... More

While traveling throughout Portugal during a rainy November 2014, we stayed at a number of historic pousadas, but no accommodation came close to our unexpected stay at Casa Fajara – the unquestionably best lodging of our trip. Clean and stylish rooms, affordable prices, excellent service and staged in a magnificent location. We stumbled upon this treasure after being stranded during... More

We spent nearly a week at Casa Fajara and adored every minute of our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and the accommodation itself is beautiful and very comfortable. We are a family of 4 on a 3 month trip through Europe and we think Casa Fajara is just about our favourite accommodation yet! Comfortable... More

We stayed 4 nights at Casa Fajara. We were two friends from Brazil, and we stayed in the basic room. It was perfect for us since it has two separate beds, one downstairs and the other one on the mezzanine. The bathroom is not separated by a door but a curtain, what could be annoying for some but it worked... More

Tucked away in a little hollow - Casa fajara is a real gem. From being woken up by the cowbells of the passing herd at 08:15, through the wonderful breakfast from 09:00 (a major consideration for my sons) - the friendly advice on where to go, eat and what to do in this unspoilt bit of the algarve - and...
