We came from Hong Kong to spend the Chinese New Year week skiing and are having an awesome time. The staff have been terrific and the onsen is outstanding with very modern facilities and a great view over the pistes. The food has been excellent. Snow conditions have been outstanding and the lift tickets are great value by international standards.

Our stay was in the beginning of last May, which normally is in the middle of spring (in Japan). Therefore our original plan during the stay was to enjoy trekking in the foothills of Mt. Myoko. However, what we found out right after the arrival was a lot of snow on the foothill ground. Oh! No place to enjoy trekking.... More

We didn't stay at the hotel but enjoyed a very European/Japanese-mix coffee and French pastry for a relaxed escape from the busy slopes on a week-end. It was very luxurious and, although very expensive, worth it for the experience. The pastries were good and I even managed to get a capuccino - with some experimentation first.

We stayed in a corner room in the main building which looked out at the pistes to the front and side of the hotel. We booked via an Australian travel operater as we couldn't find anywhere in the UK who dealt with the hotel and found the hotel's website to be not user friendly unless you can read and write... More
