Having holidayed in gorgeous Arnisdale and Corran since the early 70's we know this place well, through the original as a totally unpretentious pub, through the ownership of an individual who gave arrogance a new meaning, to the present incarnation, - of which we'd heard good things. Lunch here (in the bar) was a lovely experience - top-notch seafood in... More

From the moment we walked in the door the staff made us feel very welcome. We were shown to our rooms which were extremely comfortable, beautiful bedlinen and towels and the view was amazing. The bathrooms are large and have recently been refurbished , very stylish and loads of hot water. The breakfast was excellent as was dinner in the... More

It looks as if time stood stil the last 50 years. Since a couple of decades all traffic to Skye passes on the main bridge a couple of miles away, but if you really want to enjoy your joureny to Skye "old school": stay the night at the Glenelg Inn, next to the log fire, serving fresh seafood and other... We stayed for 3 nights at the Glenelg Inn and were not disappointed. My room was huge and although some of the furnishing was dated everything was comfortable and clean. The highlight was the food. With a menu that changed every day and a good choice of freshly prepared dishes the Glenelg should be very proud of their chef and... More

Reading the variety of reviews for the Glenelg Inn prompted me to write. It has to be appreciated for what it is - a shabby chic sort of place, welcoming to tourists and locals alike. The food is excellent. Comments about the price fail to appreciate that eating out anywhere is expensive and Glenelg has the added expense of its... More

This was a really good find for a weekend break. The bar area is very cosy with a log fire and an outside space for nicer weather. The food was excellent and the staff/owner were very friendly. The room we stayed in (2) had a magnificent view over the bay to Skye and it’s all very dog friendly! Great mix... More

Wandered into the Glenelg Inn late in the afternoon looking for something to eat. The pub was pretty quiet when we arrived, just us and 2 other tables. We had some really good starters, the scallops, lentil soup and mackerel pate. The desserts were yum too. The whiskey panna cotta did not scrimp on the whiskey and it was lovely.... More

Staying in Glenelg for a few days we decided to pop into this hotel, at about 3.30pm, for a drink and to discover what the evening menu offered. We were informed that the evening menu would be put up on the blackboard at 6pm. When we asked what would be available we were told that the chef had not informed... More

Thanks for your review, firstly please may we wholeheartedly apologise for the fact that you were overcharged for the Macallan; our price for a 10 year old malt is £3.60 so if you would like to get in touch we can reimburse you the 75p difference or alternatively we would gladly give you a dram on the house next time... This is literally the only pub for miles, it might even be the pub that's furthest from any other pub. This could be bad news, but it's not. The beer was good, the food great. The atmosphere is fantastic, a log fire, regular music, friendly staff, and a real mix of customers from tourists to local fishermen. Highly recommended.

A very friendly comfortable Inn, will definitely visit again next year. Can highly recommend you will not be disappointed. Plenty of great humour from the bar staff, and fantastic views from the beautiful lawned grounds of the Hotel over to the Isle of Skye. Would make a very memorable venue for a wedding
