I stayed here on the 4th Nov. I arrived in the dark of night. Got a friendly welcome from the owner. I sked about his accomadation he told me it would be £50 for the night. I looked at him with raised eyebrows in disbeleif. I aked about an evening meal and he told me they would have a table... More

The Glenelg Inn is full of charm from the warm welcome to the cosy rooms to the crackling fire in the bar. The views from the bedrooms are second to none. Even on a blustery, rainy, autumnal morning in the Highlands it was breathtaking. The room decor was simple and inoffensive and the room and bathroom were good sizes and... More

What a great time we had at Glenelg. If you're looking for a good, old fashioned west highland place to stay and a great hooley with the locals thrown in, then this is where it happens. This is not the Waldorf Astoria, but it's much more fun. Can't wait to return.

Our friends took us here for a one night stay on the back of an excellent previous experience of theirs, admittedly about 10 years ago. The setting is magnificent and our welcome very warm. The room although clean was very overpriced. The towels were fraying and thinning. The evening menu bore NO resemblance whatsoever to the sample menu on the... More

OK first off let me start by saying that the location is splendid and in terms of the pub it is a very nice place. Food was fine (nothing splendid though but the we were not expecting that) although portion sizes were highly variable. Service OK, rooms same but..... It is vastly overpriced. I would like to be more positive... More

The Glenelg Inn is a friendly, cozy place situation on the Sound of Sleat in Glenelg, Scotland. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The Glenelg Pub has grand food, a good bar, and often spectacular entertainment. You can sit inside by the fire during cool evenings or go outside in a beautiful garden on the water to enjoy your... We received a good welcome and were shown to our bedroom which was over the kitchen. Whilst it was a very nice room but he noise from the kitchen did not make for a peaceful stay and the smell of frying permeated into the room. Also the bar was very noisy which is not surprising as there is a campsite... More

Warning: if you arrive by day and walk into the Glenelg you might think you have made a mistake. The bar is dark and yes, some might say, the welcome is muted. But be reassured that once you walk into the restaurant by night, candle lit and romantic, and they assure you that your table awaits, you have walked into... More

From the warm welcome in the busy bar after our long journey up from London to leaving hugs from the sweet staff our long overdue return to Glenelg Inn didn't disappoint in the slightest. This Inn has the best cosy bar we've ever been in, just as well because there's wonderful fresh sea food and meat on the menu, live... More

My third visit to the Glenelg Inn and it's quaintness and charm remains. The food is excellent, the staff busy and helpful and the locals always ready for a friendly chat. Of course the local scenery and walks are incredible so this will not be my last visit to one of my favourite locations on the planet.
