Stopped off at the pub after visiting the Glenelg Brochs ( well worth a view). Enjoyed a cosy settee in front of the fire and two beautifully tasting fish platters. The smoked salmon was great. Portions just right for lunchtime

Only a restaurant visit The restaurant was just the bar, which was packed with locals and dogs, strangely allowed on the seats under a blanket! Place was thick with smell of smoke from the (then) unlit fire. Pool table. Every table is different with a sofa at one table. Beer garden nice with great views. I have been to the... More

Going to take a trip to this wonderful part of the country on my new motorbike. The staff are very friendly and the scenery is stunning. When I was across last September the weather was good and a beer in the pub's garden went down a treat. Can't wait.

Spent almost a week over Hogmany in this "village loung" and LOVED the pub with its eccentric characters, cosy atmosphere, friendly dogs (sometimes felt as though in a kennel), but missed a bit REAL fresh seafood and particularly shellfish. Had a great time, though, and would certailny come back ... ... but NOT the "hotel" (actually, it's just a pub... More

I come to Glenelg on a regular basis and get a warm welcome every time I set foot in the Glenelg Inn, Sheila, kevin and girls make it a warm hospitable place to be. The food it great - fresh from the loch or off the hill - Scotland's larder is on their door and Niall knows how to get... More

After walking three hours through hail and rain I was looking forwards to a hearty pub meal. Instead I was presented with a scallop dish which could only charitably be described as a starter, I ordered an additional portion of chips which arrived way after I had finished the meagre 'main' meal. Seems like making a healthy profit takes precedence... More

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your experience at the Glenelg Inn, and regret you could not bring this to our attention at the time rather than rushing home to write such a damning review. It would have been remarkable indeed if the chips that you ordered after your main courses were brought to the table were instantly... More

Excellent pub, a bit out of the way but the scenic journey, the atmosphere and the roaring fire makes it worth travelling to! Only popped in for a drink but made to feel welcome and the kids were free to play the pool table, which isnt always the case in a pub. Will be back again . .

Just had a drink here but lovely cosy little pub, definitely worth going to...takes a while to get to but the countryside is amazing and you can hop on the ferry across to Skye (recommend the ferry too - it's a great experience!)

Excellent! The location, room, view, food and entertainment were first class. The staff and owners made you us very welcome. It is out of the way but if you are near its one not to miss. The seafood is so fresh it was still alive outside the back door of the kitchen. The ferry to Skye from Glenelg is also Fantastic.

As a family and Staying in the area we frequented this traditional pub on several occasions, we found staff friendly, good selection of beers and whiskeys but the best was Friday night band night the locals included us in the dancing and they were all very friendly
