It was a shame we spent only one night there. Everything was wonderful. Our rooms were fantastic, comfortable and cosy, very clean, new and beautiful. We even had views to the Eilean Donan Castle. Breakfast was amazing. We had freshly cooked breakfast (scramble eggs with salmon!) and homemade yoghurt and marmalades. Mary was lovely. She was very helpful. As we... More

We spent 2 nights here during our travels through the Scottish highlands. Mary takes excellent care of guests, the rooms are very modern and clean. We loved her towel-origami-animals ;). The room even has a small fridge. We had a lovely sight on the Loch. Quiet nights and a lovely, big bed. Freshly cooked breakfast (no buffet) that was really... More

Just stayed here about a week ago. Fantastic location, an easy walk to Eilean Donan, close to Plockton and Skye. We were stuck on Skye due to road closures after a traffic accident and didn't check in until after 11PM, and Mary was so kind and understanding. She totally waited up for us. The house was spotless!

During our motorbike tour in Scotland we spent two nights in this guesthouse. And what a warm welcome we got! When we were shown our room (room 1), we even got more excited. Great view on the loch and Eilean Donan castle. A huge bathroom with a corner tub (very nice when you've travelled a long distance on the motorbike).... More

The room was fairly basic, but had a great view of the loch, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a useful little fridge but the TV was the smallest possible, and hard to see much detail from the bed. The shower cubicle was tiny and the electric shower very weak, the wooden towel rail fell off the wall... More

Where to start?First of all the shower tray is the standard 750 x 750 square shower tray.Yes the en-suite in this room is smaller but we are upgrading these over a 2 year programme. The upstairs are already in place, you could have booked one of these rooms at the time. The towel rail is never used by me personally so unless you... A great location - close to Isle of Skye, short walk into Dornie for dinner & to Eilean Donan. We were lucky to have the castle view room. The room was lovely and comfortable, but just a little cramped with the secretary desk in there. The small fridge was nice to have. The bathroom was large with a corner tub,... More

After having a bad stay at a place in Edinburgh, this place was a breath of fresh air. We were in town for a friends wedding and I was extremely happy that I decided to book this place. Breakfast was amazing, and we really enjoyed our time here. They were extremely helpful, especially when I couldn't figure out how to... More

A very friendly welcome. A great view on the lake and the Castle. Clean and rooms that are big enough. Great breakfast with homemade yoghurt. Good and comfortable beds. In other words a place to visit again. In Dornie are two places where you can have a good meal or a drink.

We used Eilean A Cheo as a base to visit Skye, as it was a lot cheaper than the B&B's on the island, however it is about an hours drive away. It is a stones throw away from the iconic Eilean Donan castle, and can be seen from the breakfast table. Dornie boasts of two main restaurants within walking distance... More

We decided to stay a night in Dornie when we drove from Skye on our way to Loch Ness and Inverness and by the time we got there it was already a bit late, but we were nicely welcomed anyways. The room was good and comfortable, and breakfast was really nicem including homemade yogurt and marmelades. It was right by... More
