The proprietor, Mary Moran, was very cordial and helped us plan our outings each day. The breakfasts were all wonderful, fresh baking, eggs, meats, juices, tea, coffee, home made yogurt and Scottish specialties. The room had a stunning view of Castle Eilean Donan and the water. The breakfast room and guest lounge also had beautiful views and were beautifully furnished.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at Eilean a Cheo Guest House which I have say was excellent. Mary made us feel very welcome. We had a Room overlooking Eilean Donan Castle which is only 10-15 minutes walk away over the Dornie Bridge. We enjoyed our highland breakfasts every morning. Eilean a Cheo Guest House is in a quiet location... More

This was the second time we had stayed in the Eilean a cheo. We stayed just the 1 night as a stop off on our way home from having a wonderful time on Lewis and Harris. The room was lovely and clean and tea and coffee was on offer that's all we needed. Mary is very welcoming and helpful with... More

My parents, two sisters and I thought that this guesthouse was absolutely superb. The beds were really comfortable, bathrooms great, carefully chosen biscuits with the in-room coffee and tea, there was a nice sitting room downstairs and the whole place was very clean, tidy and pretty. Of the three breakfast choices we were given we all chose the continental breakfast,... More

I stayed here with my wife and my 2 y old during our trip to Scotland. The host was very nice putting a cot for our son in our bedroom. We had room with a beautiful view to the loch and the castle. The host gaves us many tips regarding our stay and restaurants around. The room was very comfortable... More

It was a shame we spent only one night there. Everything was wonderful. Our rooms were fantastic, comfortable and cosy, very clean, new and beautiful. We even had views to the Eilean Donan Castle. Breakfast was amazing. We had freshly cooked breakfast (scramble eggs with salmon!) and homemade yoghurt and marmalades. Mary was lovely. She was very helpful. As we... More

We spent 2 nights here during our travels through the Scottish highlands. Mary takes excellent care of guests, the rooms are very modern and clean. We loved her towel-origami-animals ;). The room even has a small fridge. We had a lovely sight on the Loch. Quiet nights and a lovely, big bed. Freshly cooked breakfast (no buffet) that was really... More

Just stayed here about a week ago. Fantastic location, an easy walk to Eilean Donan, close to Plockton and Skye. We were stuck on Skye due to road closures after a traffic accident and didn't check in until after 11PM, and Mary was so kind and understanding. She totally waited up for us. The house was spotless!

During our motorbike tour in Scotland we spent two nights in this guesthouse. And what a warm welcome we got! When we were shown our room (room 1), we even got more excited. Great view on the loch and Eilean Donan castle. A huge bathroom with a corner tub (very nice when you've travelled a long distance on the motorbike).... More

The room was fairly basic, but had a great view of the loch, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a useful little fridge but the TV was the smallest possible, and hard to see much detail from the bed. The shower cubicle was tiny and the electric shower very weak, the wooden towel rail fell off the wall... More

Where to start?First of all the shower tray is the standard 750 x 750 square shower tray.Yes the en-suite in this room is smaller but we are upgrading these over a 2 year programme. The upstairs are already in place, you could have booked one of these rooms at the time. The towel rail is never used by me personally so unless you...
