My partner and I were travelling through the Highlands and since he asked me to be his wife at Eildon Donan Castle (I accepted) we decided to stay across from the castle for a night. There isn’t much around the area of Dornie and we didn’t wish to run around looking for somewhere to stay so when the inn keeper... More

This trip was a surprise weekend away for us arrange by my partner. The hotel itself is tired but the welcome we recieved was fantastic. Our original room 10 was tiny with cobwebs around the window but were upgraded to room 5 with fantastic views and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely but unfortunately the hotel wasnt doing any evening... More

Spent 2 nights 1 couple stayed in not the most romantic four poster bedroom. Both our rooms were tidy but attention to detail of cleansing and dusting is lacking in some areas. Overall the hotel is very tired inrelation to maintenance, decor, outside lighting is a risk factor. Jennifer is very friendly and is probably this hotels saving grace. Menu... More

After reading other reviews on other websites I wondered what I was letting myself in for, but all in all I found the hotel to be full of character and atmosphere. My room overlooked Eilean Donan castle and was warm and comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The entrance hallway is somewhat old fashioned but I found this added to the charm... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night on our way from Isle of Skye. The hotel is charming, but a bit run down. The room was small, and so was the bathroom. Comfortable bed, nice view, but all in all a bit disappointing hotel.

When we arrived in the car park they were no other vehicles and from the outside we thought the jolted had been closed for a fair time. On entering the vestibule you get a feeling that this is going to be a bad experience. We were greeted by a friendly young lady and given our room. Bearing in mind that... More

We had a lovely 3 nights stay at the hotel. The young couple who were running the hotel were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. Jennifer was always smiling and very friendly. The cooked breakfast was a great way to start the day (and included in the price of the room), there was also a selection of branded... More

My Husband and I have just driven over 500 miles returning FROM this Hotel. The Hotels web site is totally misleading with facitities, discriptions and images extremly out of date. This is most obviously the hotel's original discription and images from quite a number of years ago. The hotel is completely run down and it took my husband and I quite... More

I had booked this hotel as a surprise for my girlfriend over the easter period. I had looked through trip advisor to make an informed judgement on the hotels available at this picturesque location and noticed this hotel had a room with a balcony that over looked the Castle. The reviews I had read were somewhat negative and very "nit... More
