Ashgrove B&B is a great place if you're in for a very quiet night. Ann is a great host and is ready to give you all the info you need about the area and things to see. Disadvantage is that you need to drive a little bit to get to a place for a bite. Ann recommended Plockton which was... More

Ann is an excellent host. Her B&B is beautifully maintained (their level of cleanliness is exceptionally high) and it's in such a lovely location (there's a small lake just across the road). They don't do evening meals but Ann kindly recommended a great place in Kyle (The Waverley Hotel). However, the breakfast that Ann laid on was perfection! Would certainly... More

We found this place very last minute and requested to check in quite late at about 10:30pm. Ann was very sweet and waited up for us & answered all our calls for directions. The room was very clean and well decorated and so homely. The breakfast was excellent with warm porridge, toast, fruits etc and Ann was so warm and... More

Up a narrow lane you come to a wee gem in Balmacara square, it does not look like the best kept square in the UK but inside the little houses are some gems. The hospitality of Ann is a welcome relief, the rooms are clean with en-suite and hairdryer it was just what we needed. Anne is a local and... More

I am writing this review while we are preparing to leave Donnie and Ann, our hosts, so my memories are most fresh - and, hands down, their WiFi is the most reliable since (including) Edinburgh. I. LOCATION The Ashgrove is situated an one minute drive off the A82 main road to Kyle / Skyle. Thus it is very quiet and... More

We had a lovely bedroom/en suite with all necessities and Ann Gordon was such a friendly and helpful host. She even recommended and booked a restaurant for us which turned out to be fantastic. The breakfast was delicious and the location is very quiet and within short driving distances to the Skye bridge and Eilean Donan castle. Thumbs up!

just home from a 4 night stay, an excellent B&B, superb breakfasts, comfortable beds, lovely outlook from our bedroom and on chilly April nights an electric blanket, comfort indeed. Lots of good local information from Mrs Gordon. A comfortable lounge and good company.

We loved staying at Ashgrove, and Ann was so lovely and welcoming. We found the location was perfect for visiting the Isle of Skye and had a lovely dinner in Dornie. My niece ended up leaving her wallet behind, and Ann offered to drive an hour out of her way to meet us and give it back! So generous and... More

Stayed for 2 nights in June 2013 and what a great experience. Ann was an excellent hostess with a gentle sense of humour and was most accommodating and very helpful with visiting and restaurant recommendations and booking! The room was very clean and all the services were very good, also there was a very large guest lounge Will definitely be... More

We spent 2 nights here in August 2012 on a visit back to Scotland from Australia. Welcoming, good food, clean and comfortable, and with a hostess who has a very engaging and Highland sense of humor. It's off the road but more than worth the effort. If you want to explore Skye or Applecross this is a great place to... More
