very close to the Isle of Skye and for touring the west of scotland. This hotel is literally just off the A82, although you'd hardly notice it more

We stayed 1 night here but would happily have stayed longer. We had a comfortable room with a view out to the water, breakfast was good and we were allowed to bring it up to the room, as we had our dog with us. The dog was allowed in the bar area where I had an absolutely wonderful meal. Both... more

Awesome - travelled with 14 other guests and it was amazing. The owners welcomed us into there hotel with open arms. We travelled from Canada and it was the best time we have had on the trip since arriving in Scotland. We can for a wedding and it could not have been prepared in the hotel any better. For sure... more

It was OK. The beds were from Ikea. The Scottish breakfast was OK too. There was no one at the desk when we arrived. No big deal, I guess, but the hotel is pretty basic. The location is great -- right across from Eilean Donnan castle. Loved the castle, very knowledgeable people in each room. The castle is lit at... more

Not impressed with our stay, clean, presentable, good selection behind the bar, food was fine but a total lack of any sort of personnality or warmth from the staff or owner. Fine if you a couple stopping over night to be away early the next day, not recommended for people looking for any fun or a cosy/happy atmosphere. Carry on... more

The Dornie Hotel is in Dornie village, next to the bridge, just after the castle. It's a small hotel, simply furnished. There is a restaurant, which was empty when we ate there. The staff didn't feel that welcoming, but were efficent. It's a lovely spot with pleasant walks along the loch and via a walkway to the castle. As there... more

We are just back from the Dornie Hotel and had a wonderful time. My partner and I were looking for a few days walking in the Highlands with friends and we found the perfect spot. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and were very happy with our good sized rooms with fantastic views over Loch Duich and beyond to Skye.... more

We recently visitied the western highlands, and the highlight of the trip was our stay at the Dornie Hotel. The hotel is set in a stunning loch-side location and the views from are room were picture postcard stuff. The staff were helpful and child friendly - the hotel provided a cot for our youngest which helped us all get some... more

This is one of the worst hotels in the Highlands that we have stayed in. Visited for 1 night in Jan and although there were only 2 other guests we were given a small room at the back of the hotel. The bed had the thinnest duvet I have ever seen and in the morning we were woken by what... more
