I wish I could leave five stars .... the food was absolutely delicious and well worth a visit. Chips to die for .... and Dornie burger excellent! A pity that the waitress was a bit surly, but that wouldn't prevent me going again.

Remember that Dornie is known mostly for it's proximity to the Isle of Skye and the Eilean Donan Castle annoy tourism itself and it wil will easy to accept thing this is the best opt on in town both for value and friendliness. I wouldn't agree with the reviewer who described the accomodation as 'perfectly adequate ' but the feel... More

stayed here during march 2015 for 1 night. we arrived without a reservation and we were given a twin room that we needed for 1 night for a good price. The room was comfy and we ate in the bar attached to the hotel. the locals were friendly and the food was good (recommend the main with the haggis!) we... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in late December 2014 and found the hotel to be perfectly adequate for our needs. After reading some of the reviews we approached our stay with a little trepidation but after staying there we felt that the Dornie Hotel was an excellent choice and would recommend it to others. We had come to Dornie... More

I feel that after some other reviews visitors to the area could miss out on a good hotel in a beautiful area If you expect to be fussed around by the staff then yes you will be disappointed But the staff do their job and if you are friendly to them they will respond likewise the rooms are clean ,adequate,... My entire family traveled to Scotland for a wedding at Eilean Donan and stayed at the Dornie Hotel. The staff was like extended family and were a great help. My particular room was on the back side of the hotel and, with my window open, I awoke to the sounds of sheep on the mountainside each morning. This was after... More

Old fashioned hotel. Very simple and very comfortable, with lots of character. Only about a dozen rooms make this a very quiet stay in a pretty little village in beautiful surroundings. Some rooms have a private bath, but some share baths with another room. Rooms are small, but I didn't go there to spend cash on a room! Rooms were... More

As an earlier commenter observed, the staff and owner seemed quite indifferent to us, with the exception of the barmaid on the night we were there, who was excellent in all respects. The room was small and chilly (we should maybe have put the heater on when we arrived rather than waiting till we got back to the room after... More

I was travelling with an American friend and was looking forward to a typical Scottish welcome in the hotel. Unfortunately the staff was so indifferent to our stay - had a small conversation with the owner in the bar but otherwise there was no repartee with the staff at all. A welcome from the receptionist at the front desk on... More

Stayed here for a wedding at the castle and had three rooms for two nights and even the dog was welcome. Good food, friendly helpful staff and beautiful location. Isle of Skye and stunning scenery just a short drive away. Would stay here again.
