This may be the best value BnB in Scotland, super spacious, comfy rooms, great self catering facilities with the massive attached kitchen and an ideal location if you're visiting Skye. When planning our trip we found the accommodation on Skye ridiculously over priced for what was on offer, stumbled across the School House thankfully and would highly recommend it. Easy... More

Myself and a friend had the pleasure of being hosted by the lovely and welcoming Mary Drummond, owner/operator of the The Schoolhouse. It is spotless, modern, cozy, and well-equipped with a gorgeous communal kitchen, and lovely shop/gallery brimming with local art, jewellery and other fun stuff. I bought most of my souvenirs for my entire 2 week UK trip there,... More

We stayed here while visiting Eilean Doonan castle and I would recommend it to anyone with the same plan. It's cosy and comfortable with a great outlook...also reasonably priced. The only drawback, if there is one is the commual kitchen...but, hey, that's nothing when you are visiting such an amazing area.

Just had a really comfortable and enjoyable night at the schoolhouse. It was perfect accommodation and had the best furnishings and the standard is excellent. The hostess was very welcoming and the village is cool.

This is a self catering cottage, which means breakfast breads, cereals, coffee etc. are there in the full kitchen you have complete access to, and you help yourself. What a concept!! Mary provided us with a welcoming treat of homemade muffins on our first night's late arrival, and we found a nice treat of some kind in our "box" each... More

Despite being pesky one night guests due to a CalMac ferry shambles, we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was lovely and self service breakfast suited us perfectly; local bread and some delicious cookies on arrival - thank you!

and a good sized communal kitchen for cooking any of your own meals. Clean, comfortable and uniquely charming, this b and b is connected with a wonderful little art gallery and coffee house. A perfect jumping off point for day trips to the Isle of Skye or other nearby towns. Mary was a perfect hostess providing us the some kitchen... More

The Schoolhouse is in a lovely location and well placed as a base for a few days. The well- patronised local pubs were good places to enjoy an evening meal and a chat with locals. The room was neat and clean. We enjoyed delicious muffins with our breakfast provisions, but eggs were not provided. We had thought we had booked... More

Good location to visit Eilean Donan (only 3 minutes). We thinked to have booked a double room but we found a twin for a misunderstanding with the owner; Breakfast choice is too simple, you have to cook, very different from the other B&B/guest house where we stayed during our holiday (see our reviews). However room was clean, confortable but very... More
