Brilliant small hotel with a wonderful owner who can't do enough to help you. We were upgraded to a Seaview as it was nearing the end of the season. Room was super cosy, modern and very, very clean! Would definitely return and highly recommend!

I stayed here with a Road Scholar group and was very happy - the room was modern and had everything I'd expect, the wifi was decent, considering how out-in-the-boondocks this is, the views were wonderful, (the midges were evil, but that's normal around here), and I woke up to the sounds of baa-ing sheep and gently falling rain, and you... Positive points first: the view at breakfast was top notch. Breakfast quality was good. Cosy and comfortable bed. Modern finishings (Room 2). Negative remarks: The water just barely trickles out of the shower. (To save money?) The carpets are needing an updating. Internet was slow to the extreme!

We spent 5 nights here as one leg of a west coast jaunt. The sea facing room was good and comfortable (see accompanying picture for a hint of the atmospheric views over the Crowlins, Scalpay and Raasay to Skye). We were very well fed, both for evening meals and breakfast. The location is great, both as a place to stay... More

We often take visitors here - the food is consistently good, the staff friendly, welcoming and professional (they are happy to chat). Comfy sofas near a roaring fire in the lounge/bar. The view across the water to the islands is lovely, particularly at sunset (although in summer the midges ruin it, but that isn't the hotel's fault!).

We stayed for three nights but wish it was longer. The hotel is located overlooking the mountains across the bay and near Kyle and Plockton. Andy is an extremely efficient and welcoming host (just watch him in action at breakfast). If we come back to Scotland again we'll definitely be staying here.

The hotel was about 2 miles out of Kyle and on the shoreline. The room we had faces the back and was warm clean and comfortable. The bed was excellent and the pillow of good quality. There was absolutely no complaints about this hotel. I cannot say anything about the dinner because we dined elsewhere. The breakfast was fine. Great Stornoway... More

We didn't stay at this hotel but it was really near our bed & breakfast place so we decided to eat here at night. We had dropped in for a drink earlier in the day and the hotel looked as if it served good food. We were not disappointed, in fact both our main courses - seafood chowder and venison,... More

We sent two nights here at the gateway to the Isle of Skye and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are bright, clean and comfortable and the food was way above what we expected in terms of quality and presentation. Proprietor Andy is the perfect, congenial host, with a wicked sense of humor. We highly recommend this hotel.
