5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2015

We visited this place in January and basically had the whole place to ourselves. We will most definitely go back again, next year. I am not an onsen lover, but even so I really enjoyed the huge onsen bath. The food was great and so was the service. Some staff do speak English, so not an issue.

The original plan is to arrive Wakura Onsen by limited express train at 4:08PM. Due to snow storm , no train service between Fukui City and Kanazawa. The onsen is spacious and... More

Unfortunately, the hotel has not been properly maintained over time; the golden age of it passed. The staff are helpful and trying to do their best to give the client a good experience. Food is very nice and carefully prepared. The public bath would be so nice if properly maintained.

OK I want to save anyone who is thinking of staying at Tadaya Ryokan. We stayed there for a night in August and fron the website I was expecting sheer luxury and indulgence. However when we got to the entrance I was in denial that we were in the right place as the reception was so tatty and just not... More
