Hi Tom Great to hear from you and to have the chance to thank you for staying with us during the Le Mans 24 Hours race - we're not right bang next to the track but the flipside, as you say, is peace and quiet, an antidote to the noise and bustle of the circuit! If you do decide to... More

We had a terrific three-night stay at Le Basse Cour. Phil and Jude were gracious hosts. In restoring and decorating their beautiful old home, they paid great attention to detail. After three days, we were still discovering quaint "objets d'art." The same attention to detail can be found in the lovely grounds and landscaping. Everything in the house was spotless.... More

Hello Bob We're obviously delighted that you enjoyed your stay in our home, and we can promise you that the pleasure was mutual. It was great that as well as researching your family history you made time to visit the old town of Le Mans and that special garden that we recommended you to visit. After many years of welcoming guests to La Basse Cour we appreciate we can't please all the people all of the time, but I will try to reply to your observations. Our standard room rate in peak season is 60€, rest of the year 55€. For this you do not simply get a bright, comfortable and impeccably clean bedroom, but... More

Phil & Jude telephoned a local restaurant for us to make a reservation. There is a lovely sitting room with games and magazines etc. The gounds look beautiful - even in... More

After a long day's drive from Paris, arriving at La Basse Cour was truly a pleasure. The building itself is a wonderful restoration which Phil and Jude have put much hard work and love into. Phil and Jude are welcoming and very hospitable hosts who made our two day's stay very pleasant. Our bedroom and bathroom were very well appointed,... More

Dear Phil and Jude Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Looking at the photos of 2004-09 you have clearly put in a lot of hard work to create a really splendid B&B from the relative ruins of an old farmhouse, and are to be congratulated on doing it so well. You know how to make guests welcome and... More
