Wow! A truly amazing hotel set in a former monastery where the monks cells are now bedrooms. Our room had an entrance hall, en-suite shower room and views over the wooded valley towards a deserted hill top hamlet. The abbey has been sensitively restored with well maintained gardens and seating to relax. There is a small restaurant on site which... More

We had a great two night stay. Its a peaceful and beautiful setting, family run (friendly and helpful) with a very good breakfast. Rooms are spacious and fitting for the abbey. A pool would be a good. Great walks. We had dinner in the restaurant (separate entity) on one night - very pleasant evening but the food is pretentious.

Just a spectacular setting offering great views. We loved sitting out on the lawn and soaking in the views. The hotel is a converted Abby constructed between 700- 1100. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are tight, but comfortable. The rooms are well appointed and gave some of the feeling of what it would be to live here when... More

Stayed for two nights, beautiful location, fantastic views off the main lawn, kind staff, very quiet. Breakfast with many options with good service. Accommodations were antique styled, which we liked, but some pieces were worn. We ate the restaurant on property both nights. Absolutely fantastic food; owner/host is very gracious We easily visited a handful of nearby towns during our... More

We recently were married at the Abbey and the whole night was simply MAGIC and unforgettable for all the right reasons. For the price of hiring the venue we were given full access to all areas, the honeymoon suite and a discounted rate on the other rooms, except for the wellness area. The abbey was well worth the money spent.... More

Fabulous setting, special atmosphere and fully up-to-standards rooms (i.e. excellent 3-star quality; do not expect 5-star luxury). I would recommend Abbazia San Pietro to anyone who is looking for a special experience in Italy. Ideal to relax on the lawn of the abby after a hike in the mountains or after water fun in the Valdinera (rafting or kayaking). Also... More

As we drove along the mountain road approaching Abbazio San Pietro we had to stop the car. We couldn`t believe the sight that met us as we rounded a bend with a gap in the trees. This must be one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, certainly the best we have stayed in. The family owned and run... More

We stayed in converted monks' cells, but with all mod cons. Our party of 12 was delighted with the accommodation and the kindly staff. Family owned, and it shows in the way they treat visitors. The restaurant is a separate concern, but the Abbey provided us with picnics for our walk the day we left - along the old railway... More

This converted abbey, run by the same family for many years, is utterly delightful. The setting in a magical valley, and the simplicity, charm and unspoilt beauty of the building are just amazing. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the facilities you would expect but are also simple, unpretentious and appropriate to the monastic history of the place.... More

En route from cousins in Le Marche, we were looking for a hotel within a short driving distance to our others cousins near Rome. What a wonderful surprise San Pietro turned out to be! Another reviewer described this hotel as magical, and we could not agree more. Set up on a hill top all by itself, this former abbey is... More
