Very friendly staff. Rooms very clean, clean sheets, towels and adequate for our 2 night stay for the Take That concert. Kettle, tea, coffee etc in room. TV reception a bit iffy but never really watched it. Carpark attendant very entertaining. LCCC venue walking distance. Shower a bit dodgy but adequate. Staff always helpful. Hotel does not do food but... more

What a nice surprise this hotel was after reading all the previous reviews. We were treated like family. Check in was cheery & helpful. Karen & a young man (Man City Supporter) Advice given where to eat as food was not being cooked in the evenings while we were there. Breakfast was plentiful and relaxed well looked after again by... more

This is the worst hotel ever!!!!! To start with we could not watch the tv and no reception and when we asked at reception we were told there was nothing that they could do about it. Then a shelf in the bathroom broke and a glass tumbler was on the shelf and smashed on the floor. My husbands foot was... more

Hotel itself is very old but clean and the staff are very helpfull but if you want to go for a dirty weekend its the place to go as we had no hot water for the 3 days that we were their and you can't watch the TV as the picture keeps rolling. Breakfast not worth £6.00 but edible. Also... more

We were allocated Room 12 on the ground floor. It was a twin bedded room - furnished as expected - wardrobe, cupboard with TV, dressing table with tea and coffee making equipment - well... more

What you dont see in the photograph is the shack they try to put you in if they are overbooked. It is at the end of the carpark and has plenty of mice to keep you company .When we objected we were allowed into the hotel even though we are Irish.Breakfast was very poor and we will never be back. Went to Manchester for the Champions League game with Celtic. Hotel was the last one available on the day (last minute tickets) and cost £153 for the privilege (room only). This is the only hotel I have stayed in that had its own mousetrap on the floor. I did not get a wink of sleep all night. Wallpaper was coming... more

Stayed here 1 night for REM concert at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Location is perfect for a concert and situated very close to Trafford Bar metro station. Room was ok and clean. Decor in general is quite dated. Had a problem with the shower on the morning we left - basically couldn't use it as no matter what you did... more
