Excellent b and b. Lots of character and some excellent conversation and food. The only problem was I was there to work and not to relax completely. Why stay in a travel lodge when you could stay in a place that is actually pleasant.

Carolyn runs a brilliant B&B. We looked out of the window in the morning, saw eggs being collected from the hen-house, and really appreciated their taste at breakfast. The pancakes with maple syrup were pretty good too! The Turville Room is vast - bedroom, separate bathroom, huge sitting room. If we were picky, we could say that the television in... More

We stayed here for one night and thought it was fantastic. Carolyn was an excellent host and made us feel so welcome. The room was gorgeous and breakfast was made to order. It was perfect, wish we could have stayed longer. Its a great location if you're going to Armourgeddon, just 5 minutes drive away.

We found the hotel easily, although it is set well back from the main road on a private drive with cattle grids. Goats and chickens came out to welcome us as we parked up! The building is old, so there's no lift and the stairs are a bit creaky, but that all adds to the ambience! Our bed was clean... More

We decided to stay here after checking several hotels online with Trip Adviser. I was being treated to a tank driving experience close by and this was very convenient. The buildings are very old and have such character, we loved it. The Hall is set in large grounds and is as impressive as any photo's show. The owner was very... More

I stayed at the Old Hall guest house as a stop over on the way to Ireland. The owner, Caroline, is an outstanding host and really makes her guests feel very welcome. She had very kindly offered to cook me an evening meal but a last minute change of plans got in the way. It wasn't a problem as she... More

Carolyn is a superb host and was so welcoming into her home, making the stay really feel like a home from home experience. Staying here for the entire week for golf coaching and knowing I had to work in the evenings, I was delighted with The Old Hall. From my arrival to my departure Carolyn and her family were great and did everything they could to accommodate me and the 'tight' timing demands I often requested. I left early, returned late and worked... More

Greeted by friendly geese hopping in our car, this place oozes character. Forget TravelLodge and feel like you are the lord and lady of the manor for one day. Our champage we had brought was put on ice for us and the owner was ever so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is well worth getting up for too. We will definitely... More
