Six of us stayed here last weekend to attend a family wedding at nearby Aswanley. Fiona and David looked after us all so superbly it was an absolute pleasure for us to stay at Coynachie. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was lovely. Thank you both for looking after us so well.

Fiona is the perfect host, friendly, helpful and an excellent cook. Whilst away on business, at the end of the day it is great to return to a rural retreat that has the wonders of nature and creature comforts, bliss! I will definitely return if in the area and recommend to anyone who enjoys walking or cycling, it is the... More

David and Fiona offer the best quality B and B experience in the North-East and possibly Scotland! I have stayed here weekly since the start of 2014 and have always had the warmest welcome! The rooms are comfortable and each one has its own unique style. The breakfast is unbelivable with a seasonal fruit bowl on offer every visit, personal... More

I stayed here for 2 nights recently while on a work trip - This guest house sits in a very pleasant and quiet location, with lots of lovely walks to stretch your legs in the evening. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with a very pleasant and helpful hostess. I struggled to get an internet connection on my first night but she... More

Positive reviews of this B&B led us to book for two nights, and becUse we liked it so much, stayed for another night. We wish we could have stayed longer. Fiona was a great hostess, and the breakfasts were delicious. We had the downstairs room with the private bathroom, which was fine for us. The room was spacious and had... More

An "unfortunate" experience at another property saw us making a last minute 3 night booking at Coynachie. What started as a dreadful morning turned into a beautiful evening with this excellent choice! Under normal circumstances we only book B&B's with ensuites but took the room with private facilities once David explained we would have the top floor of Coynachie to... More

We stayed here for two nights, as we wanted to be within a commutable distance of Aberdeen but escape the city pace. The guest house lived up to reviews and photos on their own web site don't do it justice. "Heater" was a lovely, quiet large, ground floor bedroom with great views and a wood burning stove. The bathroom was... More

Very comfortable room and amazing bath room, great break fast served by the very lovely owners Fiona and David who were also very helpful in giving advice what to visit in the area. To reach it a car is required as it is in a remote and quite but beautiful area!

Thank you for your review, most of our guests arrive here by car, we are as you describe situated in a lovely secluded valley, but only a short drive takes you to the historic market town of Huntly with its variety of independent shops and fantastic farmers market held on the first Saturday of the month a real treat for... Fiona and David are great hosts...have wonderful rooms and serve great breakfasts. The surrounding countryside is lovely...I was working but wished l was walking! My family stayed there for 3 nights in July 2009 just after it opened. The guest rooms were immaculate. The surrounding country side was beautiful with a great path to walk into the hinterland surrounded by flowers, cows and sheep.
