Although I have previously stayed at tis guesthouse, I was once again impressed by the level of service from the staff and the excellent value for money at this establishment. My room had a beautiful view of the bay and surroundings and was top quality.

First of all, let me say: don't be fooled by the term 'guest house'. I've stayed in 4 star hotels that don't come anywhere close to the standards you'll find here. The rooms are cleaned and serviced every day to a very high standard, there's a decent shower with plenty of hot water, the staff are friendly and helpful, the... More

Went to Berg en Zee early in May this year for our honeymoon in CT. Was incredible, we were greeted with the sun setting over the ocean (view from the bedroom) and a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us. Jackie gave us fantastic advice on wine routes and food places, and Khumbulani was always ready to help with... More

It was a real pleasure to welcome you for your honeymoon. We particularly enjoyed your story about watching the sunrise from your balcony. Luckily you had a view of the sun going up and coming down from your room. Hope to see you again soon. More

We stayed here for four nights, The room was very comfortable with lovely sofas looking out over the ocean towards the Strand. A very relaxing place to sit and read and watch the sun set. The view to die for. Breakfast was excellent and a very good choice. The service was very good. The welcome was not great as we arrived... More

Dear Susan. Thank you very much for your review and for your positive comments. Sorry about the fact that we had no-one to help with your cases upon arrival. We normally would be able to assist but our staff usually go home before 10pm. Unfortunately, most of the establishments in Gordon's Bay have stairs because the town is built on... More

We recently spent 4 nights at this lovely Guest House in Gordon's Bay. We were made to feel very welcome, the room was lovely and clean and there was a good choice for breakfast. The balcony looked out to the bay which was beautiful. There are restaurants nearby, all in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Jackie and team... More

I recently stayed at Berg en Zee for the fifteenth time and have already booked my next stay. It feels like my second home and the staff are my South African family. It's always such a pleasure to stay at this friendly guesthouse and to enjoy all the days trips in the surrounding areas. Gordon's Bay is the perfect location... More

This was the last stop of our 3 week visit to SA and it ended our holiday in very comfortable style. We received a friendly warm welcome, and after being shown our room, a good brief of the facilities available. The room was spacious with a balcony looking out towards the sea and across Gordons Bay to the mountains. There was a comfy... Jackie and the team at Berg en Zee were so warm and welcoming and made us feel like old friends. Our itinerary only allowed us to stay one night but it would have been much better to stay for 3 or 4 nights. This was our first visit to Gordons Bay and we enjoyed the beautiful bay surrounded by huge mountains. Beach Road curves around the Bay and seemed to us the best place to base ourselves, so we were delighted to find accommodation with Jackie at Berg en Zee which had been recommended by our friends Lin and Brian. The rooms are... More

Although we have been visiting Gordon's Bay for many years we only found Berg en Zee 3 years ago and now we cannot think of anywhere we would rather stay.
