My wife booked Part-Y-Seal for my 50th and as a base for fishing on the nearby Monnow river. We stayed for three days. Fred and Jeanette were welcoming and friendly hosts and knowledgeable about the area. The room was large and well equipped with satellite TV and a large separate bathroom exclusively for our use. All the food was grown... More

We stayed here for 1 night while in the area for a wedding. The room was huge and clean. The building was an old country house with a fantastic garden. Breakfast looked good, I was too hungover from a party the night before to enjoy it. My girlfriend said it was tasty. We would definitely recommend this place.

We have been returning whenever we can to stay with Fred and Jeanette at Part Y Seal for several years now. The vegetarian food is absolutely delicious and the personal service compares to the best hotels. There is no better place to unwind where there are such lovely unrivalled views of beautiful countryside in tranquility far from the sound of... More

We stopped by as we saw the sign on the way to Grosmont and were really pleased we did. We had lunch outside (as we had the dog with us) and the view was just amazing. The food was excellent, clearly freshly made and very reasonably priced. We obviously did not stay over, but I will be making a note... More

We have been to Part-y-Seal several times with friends as we love the calm ambience, the beautiful views, large portions of healthy well cooked & presented food & delightful owners. It si different in a quirky sort of way but the quality is excellent & one comes away uplifted with the experience.

From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Fred and Janette. The food was wonderful the beds very comfortable and the peace and quiet was just what was needed. We will certainly be visiting again and hope to have time to fit in a massage which are also on offer at this wonderful place.

Having previously popped in for afternoon tea we decided to stay for a couple of nights as we were amazed by how peaceful and quiet the place was. The room was lovely with a four poster bed and amazing views from the windows. Breakfast was superb, especially the eggs from the free range hens and the selection of berries from... More

Booked this place as it was much cheaper for single travellers compared to other places in the area. Arrived to large comfortable bedrooms - one with four poster - with amazing views. Very good for £50 a night B & B plus a complimentary afternoon tea which was awesome. Breakfast was also delicious with home grown quality ingredients. Public areas... More

Every single time I'm in South Wales (about 4 times a year visiting family as I was originally from there) our treat is to go to Fred's for a cream tea. We have tried other foods but nothing beats the cream tea he serves. The scone and jam is homemade, it is a surprise to find out what flavour it... More
