Friendly staff, STUNNING views, beautiful kept gardens and pool section... we loved this hotel. We were lucky to upgraded to the highest floor near the center with a great view of the water. The pool was clean, quiet and refreshing. There is lots of walking paths. Local people were lovely, so kind and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel... More

We spent three nights at this nice hotel. The onsen is really nice, open 6-12 and 14-01. We did not try give restaurants. We went in July which should be the high season, but place and whole city was very very quiet. Maybe because of the bad weather, it rained for three full days

We stayed in this hotel in July and had a very nice time. Our room was twin size 35 sq meter with view mtn and ocean. They had a baby bed crib already set up in the room. We enjoyed the outside onsens. We did not get breakfast since it is more geared towards Japanese taste -- but if they... More

The room was tiny. We went as a family vacation with a 1 year old. Very hard to maneuver around. The restaurant downstairs we paid 5,000 yen for 1 plate that was just meat. It was terrible tasting. The bed was very hard. The veiw was gorgeous and the staff were friendly. The pool was closed. We left 1 day... More

Check-in was fast and staff at check-in very friendly, most of them speak some English and try very hard to communicate in English. Hotel is a bit dated, it is located high on a hilltop overlooking the sea and several small islands. Beautiful gardens and a large pool. According to hubby the men's onsen was very nice, also had an... More

We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at the hotel. The view from our room was wonderful and the hotel was quiet and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The 2 restaurants were rather expensive but we treated ourselves to a Japanese meal and it was very good indeed . The hotel doesn't have a bar (you can get... More

West of Shimoda city center are a string of resort hotels on top of the cliff. Shimoda Tokyu is the first one you come to, so is easiest to walk to/from town. There is a shuttle bus to/from train station if you don't have a car. Staff is very friendly and quick to respond. Pillows were small, so I asked... More

I must admit, when we arrived at the hotel it wasnt what i expected it to be, however after a few nights i realised what a great location it was! There is a courtesy bus that drives to and from the hotel to Shimoda station. There are busses that can take you places at the station, my boyfriend and i... More

Hotel is located on a hill top making the view spectacular... Staff is very friendly and they have good english speaking staff.. they helped us with maps of areas , good suggestions for places to check out . Its not so far from city center and the amazing beaches if you have a car. Rooms are not very breath taking... More

Very cozy hotel to stay & view from balcony is beautiful. There is a nice size of pool. There is a path right next to the pool to Nabetahama Beach behind the hotel which is a small & quiet beach. If you wanna simply relax yourself, that would be the one for you. The hotel has 2 diff types of... More
