Stayed two nights for a weekend away via a groupon deal. We stayed in the King Size Half Corona room, Very good size, very nice room and much better than we expected. Customer service was fantastic and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond and we have very lovely memories from our stay. The dinner at... More

We wanted to have a two night stay away between Christmas and New Year that was quiet, in the country. Far away from the hustle and bustle. Went on-line and The Old Rectory fullfilled our criteria for a two night B&B stay at a very reasonable price of £140.00, for two people, all in. As there was no dinner available... More

Stayed two nights whilst visiting the area with family . Hotel has a nice country house hotel atmosphere with a genuine warm welcome. Rooms were of a good size , spotlessly clean, well furnished and equipped. As it was December and extremely cold it would have helped if housekeeping had thought to switch the room radiator before we arrived but this... More

Had a 2 night stay following an enjoyable visit a year ago. Beautiful Georgian building with tastefully landscaped grounds, in which we were encouraged to walk our elderly greyhound before dropping her off at the local kennels. Staff (most notably Claire) were all very friendly and both breakfasts & the evening meal we had on the first night were faultless.... More

We had a 2 night break at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our deal included dinner on the first night from a set menu which was fairly limited but perfectly adequate and breakfast was fabulous. The room was large and airy with huge windows overlooking the gardens. As well as the usual tea tray, a bottle of water... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this great country hotel, and although we had the small double ( will make sure on future bookings we don't get that again) it was well appointed. Friendly staff, comfortable lounge and a great conservatory.

Stayed here for two nights. A lovely quaint old hotel offering good sized rooms - we were in room 8 overlooking the rear garden. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Claire. Good qualiy food but the special Living Social menu was a little limited. The inclusive boat trip along the reiver from Shrewsbury was enjoyable and informative.

Lovely staff, brilliant food and a very quaint hotel. Had a lovely stay and would definately go back again. Eight of us stayed for a two night break and it was delightful. The staff couldnt do enough to make our stay enjoyable and the food was excellent both at night and breakfast. Excellent weekend.
