Went to visit Wroxeter Vineyard and sought an inexpensive local hotel through the internet. The The Mytton & Mermaid Hotel had availability at a reasonable price and the reviews were quite good overall. What we discovered was a nice and friendly hotel/restaurant/pub sitting on the banks of the River Severn. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was good although... More

Stayed here for one night. Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous room. Very spacious. Food was very good. Service excellent. Staff were very very helpful. Our room was looking out onto the river on one side and overlooking the park on the other side. Absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend.

Visited with my wife on Mothering Sunday, and although they were very busy, as you would expect, I thought the staff coped very well under obvious stress. Food was excellent and well priced, good service, in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended

We stayed for just the one night at the end of March. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Our room was comfortable and overlooked Attingham Park. We would certainly stay here again. Every thing was first class.

Keep coming back here, it's a lovely place with great food. The menu has just changed and there are some interesting new arrangements on the menu. Rooms are comfortable but could really do with some updating, they are clean and fresh but cracks in tiles and decor is now a little jaded, don't let it put you off though it's... More

As my mother is coeliac I have to provide advance warning to the restaurant when we choose to book. Having eaten and stayed at the mytton and mermaid on several occasions it was my first choice for Mother's Day. What a shame it went so wrong. I think they clearly overbooked as the restaurant was full to capacity, therefore the... More

We arrived at a wonderful location, the Manor house is very imposing. On entering the Bar/ restaurant area is relaxed and just what we'd hoped for. Reception staff, as with all staff were most helpful. However on entering our room, we were instantly disappointed at how tired and shabby it looked. The carpet was badly stained, the window was bare... More

Me and my wife have stayed here many times before, twice in the last 3 months we have booked a court yard room, unfortunately we must be the only people staying their and they couldn't be bothered with heating, not a chance we could of had a shower! The bathroom was so cold you could see your own breath! We... More

We found the rooms excellent, the setting pleasant and the food of very high quality. Extremely good value for money. The staff were aware of needs though service did slow down considerably when they had events. I would definitely visit again as there is so much to see and do locally. Personally I would request a first or second floor... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a mini break. Wonderful location, fabulous food and the staff were very attentive. Our room was very comfortable - four poster bed - spacious en suite - fluffy towels and dressing gowns. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.
