I am currently staying at this hotel for the second time with my girlfriend. This is the second time we have tried to post a review after promising we would the first time. Very surprised by previous post and would really like to give my account. I am in trinidad for legal purposes and found this hotel as it was... More

I stayed at the Regent Star three times over the last two years, most recent was September 2014. All my stays was a result of Caribbean Airlines cancelling the flight to London for 24 hours. The Airline allocated this hotel to some travellers and we arrived at about 23.30. There was nothing to eat at that time. Breakfast was buffet... More

We booked this hotel in a hurry, we lost a flight and had to stay overnight in Trinidad on our way to Dominica. We chose it for being lose to the airport (we had a 5 am flight the morning after) and the pictures looked (at first sight) pretty decent- however, ratings were so so and funny enough, it was... My stay in this hotel was most welcoming, my room had all the facilities I need for my 2 night stay. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The staff had that Caribbean friendliness you expect and really were helpful. The drinks and food was delicious I especially loved sitting in the outdoors part of the bar and having cocktails. Rum... Would advise staying clear of this hotel; I'm surprised they have license to operate at all. The place is still under construction and the the hotel as such is poorly managed. Staff are friendly and helpful - but obviously limited by lack of proper training. Originally booked four nights but checked out after two nights. Key issues include: (1) Mosquitoes... More

The hotel lobby is nice. As soon as you get to the front desk you realize that the employees have no training nor ability to make decisions independent of their supervisor. The carpeting is dusty from chronic construction and is buckled along every wall from poor installation. Dust permeates the building and there are varying layers of dust throughout, leading... More

I stayed with my kids and girlfriend at the Regent Star Hotel for three nights…the rates were reasonable, great customer service…complimentary shuttle service…must say even though this hotel is still in the construction phase and not fully opened I can see it will be a magnificent place once completed. We came to Trinidad to visit for summer vacation...needed a hotel... More

My family of 4 (2 adult and 2 toddlers) stayed at the Regent Star on 8/2/14 the last night of our TT vacation to be close to airport b/c of our early morning flight and well traveling with two toddlers. We have family in TT, I've lived on another island for 6 months, and together my wife and I have... More

A friend recommended this hotel. Very convenient as it is very close to the hotel with a free shuttle to and from. The food was excellent and staff made me and my partner feel very welcome. I did notice that although the higher floors of the hotel is not 100 percent complete it did not have any 3 fountain as... More

The hotel is under construction, and their site shows a nice room. Upon arrival we immediately made our exit strategy and booked the Hyatt in the Port of Spain. They kindly issued me an immediate refund and we left. The staff and lobby area are perfectly presentable, but walk beyond that area and you will find 3 fountains with stagnant water,... More
