This is a wonderful place to spend a weekend with your loved one or even sister. Amazing decor and lots and lots of interior decoration magazines to read. The bathrooms are to die for...but the really good thing is the breakfast and how it is served! Michelle and Alan are perfect hosts, very welcoming and informative. Couldn't rate them any... More

Don't think about going to the "chateau" that's The only advice .They have a system of check in from 6 pm a way to force you to stay cause you don't. Want to lose the 33euros of cancellation .we arrived to that old house which the owner called chateau. And I'll be honest with you it doesn't worth it.

We stayed for 7 nights at this well located property south of Perpignan and close to the Alberes Mountains. Alain & Michelle were lovely hosts offering friendly advice, good breakfasts on the terrace (Michelle's home made yoghurt, crepes and jams are very tasty!) and a welcome cup of tea after a long days walking! The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable... More

We had a lovely stay in this 12th century chateau. Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming with breakfast served on the terrace. Our room (la Toscane) was very spacious with views over the town and the Pyrenees in the distance. There are quite a few steps as previously mentioned. Be aware that there is only a very small snack... More

Chambre Picasso was charming and comfortable . this is an ancient building so one must climb stairs and open unexpected doors. All the living rooms were full of treasures beautifully arranged. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. I still treasure the maps drawn by Alain to guide us . Give th opportunity we... More

Our third stopover in our France motoring holiday and what a delightful place. The chateau is full of charm and history and the hosts have added delightful collectables. The bedroom (Picasso) was very comfortable and the views stunning with the Republican clock chimes adding to the ambience.. The hosts were delightful, very attentive and keen to make suggestions of places... More

We felt really privileged to stay in such a beautiful house. There were so many interesting things to see and the Chateau has been decorated with such taste. Our room, La Toscane, could not be faulted; we had everything we needed, plenty of space good quality bed linen, the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. Our hosts, Michelle and... More

We stayed one evening with Michelle & Alain and enjoyed it so much we returned a week later for another two - beautifully decorated home (and rooms), with lovely linens and extremely comfortable beds. We've rarely stayed somewhere that the hosts have made us more comfortable. Interesting and varied countryside and coasts to explore and delicious restaurants nearby. Breakfast on... More

Chateau d'Ortaffa is a wonderful retreat: a small village location, terrific views to the Pyrenees as they meet the sea, and easy access to the coast and Collioure. The owners are charming, helpful, and justly proud of the hospitality and their wonderful home. Chateau d'Ortaffa has a long history, and there's plenty of material on the building's ancestry to while... More

In July, we stayed for two nights at Chateau d'Ortaffa, a superb property on a hill, close to many points of interest at the France-Spain border (Collioure, Port Lligat, Figueres, etc). Our hosts, Michelle and Alain, could not have been kinder (we arrived late, and a bottle of excellent red wine and nibbles were waiting for us!), and their place... More
