The room was nice and clean. Let's say that there's more happening in the wintertime than summertime. It's for skiers! In the summer, the one person staffer leaves the front desk at 5pm but there are emergency numbers to call. I had to call several before finding someone to help with the 3 remotes...it became a science project. Wanted to... More

We are sorry that your stay was less than perfect. It is indeed quieter in Taos Ski Valley in the summer and that is why most people come in the summer (that, the great hiking, and the cool weather). We do reduce the hours of our service in the summer (daily 9am to 5pm) in accordance with the amount of... More

We have been skiing at Taos for several years. This was our first stay at Edelweiss. We highly recommend it for its exceptional service, location, & accommodations. The underground parking & slope side ski storage & boot lockers were very convenient, especially with children in ski school. Paying a bit more was worth it for all they offer.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and certainly look forward to seeing you back again. With a new lift to the top of Kachina Peak being installed this summer (tower bases have already been poured), the on mountain experience will only get better. Thanks for choosing the Edelweiss and for the great feedback. More

We spent a wonderful week at the Edelweiss in mid February. We were in a three bedroom condo which had three nice rooms with a comfortable sitting/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped. We had very good daily maid service - who also ran the dishwasher. This is a truly ski in and ski out facility, and has a locker... More

We (my wife, 9 yr old, 14 yr old & myself)) recently spent five very pleasant nights here. Our unit was spacious, clean and functional. To say it was luxurious would be a stretch. If you are looking for panache amenities and exquisite service, check out Vail. Taos is all about world class terrain. The base experience was an afterthought... More

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you back. You certainly seem to know Taos and what brings people back time after time. The base area is getting a major overhaul that has already started. I don't think Taos will ever be "like Vail" but some of the base area facilities should... More

We stayed at the Edelweiss for Michael Hearne's Big Barn Dance so there was no snow in sight. Nonetheless, very convenient to the festival which was held for the first time in the Taos Ski Valley at base of the ski lift. We checked in late but our tickets were left in the room. Since it was out of season,... More

What a wonderful stay. We were here for the annual Big Barndance music festival. The staff is superb and a wealth of information about the hotel and the event. Tickets for the festival were waiting for us at the front desk, and the festival was held at the bottom of Lift 1, about 300 yards from the hotel. This property... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to having you back again next year. As you mentioned, in the summer our food and beverage operations are scaled back a bit but it is worth mentioning that the Blonde Bear Tavern and the Cafe Naranja (located on site) are both open 7 days a week... We stayed in a condo for our family ski week with 4 generations ranging in age from 11 to 91 and everyone had a great time. The condo was nicely decorated and still seems pretty new, clean and pretty well maintained - minor issues like some light bulbs out and a bad toaster, but was otherwise all we needed for... More

Taos is so friendly, quaint and welcoming! Great ski in and ski out place with fantastic views of the whole mountain Never met a grumpy person including at this place. Very kind and friendly staff! We really enjoyed our time there and hope to go back soon!

This marks our fourth season staying at the Edelweiss. We often come for several weekends per year. What's not to like: slopeside location, beautiful condos (all individuall owned). We usually stay in a 1br condo, but friends have stayed in the "hotel rooms" (really a blocked off bedroom from one of the condos with direct access to the hall) and... More

Favorite things about this place: Underground parking (at no additional charge). Great location to lifts, rental shops, restaurants, ski schools. Staff is very friendly and helpful (they made a point remember our names). Restaurant on the 1st floor which is open for breakfast and dinner. There is a spa (best massage i have had in a long time...ask for Cat),... More
