Our experience was completely different from the other experiences shared here. We think this has to do partly with a complete renovation of the building which was just finished before we arrived. unfriendly, overpriced and dirty. also no hot water. bugs in the room and the showers.the food is ok,but the kitchen looks dark and ugly.they only have one washing machine,you have to do it by yourself and takes a long time.you are not allow to use it if they wash their stuff.and the tour to the haba they offer also very... We found this place almost by accident. We left Shangri-la (Zhongdian) on the 9:10 bus, planning to make our way back to Lijiang. With guides, we hiked with legs and horses from Walnut Grove (end of Tiger Leaping Gorge) to Haba. I guess the guides were told to drop us off at Haba Snow Mountain Inn.
