The waterhole and the afternoon game drive were highlights. Arriving to be told that there was a problem with the game drive car and we might not be able to take our booked tour, then I asked if the car was broken and told yes, when I asked for a refund, amazing enough the car was not broken, but there... I was there after a few days of camps in Zambia and caprivi and it was refreshing to have a nice and clean Place to stay. I am not fond of game-lodges but I admit that the glass of whine I had on the terrace overlooking the pond where animals came to drink was one of those special moments.. The... More

A beautiful Place and a wonderful setting. You can See the Rhinozeros at the waterhole while having dinner, it was very relaxing after driving around in Etosha. The rooms are nice, only the bathrooms are a Bit oldfashioned. The Game drive is a Must-do, we saw a Lot of animals and Birds we did Not See before. Omaruru is a... More

The setting is perfect, idyllic in fact and it clearly was well designed and laid out at some stage but beware! it is now the African "holiday home" of a Lebanese businessman who clearly doesn't believe in empowering his new general manager to deliver what the website promises. The whole place in under-resourced and under-staffed (Reception closes at 5pm and... More

We stopped over at epako on our way from etosha back to Windhoek. Our intention was not game viewing(having just spent 3 nights in etosha). We were however very surprised with how much game visited the house waterhole, including 3 rhino which stayed until after dinner time. The staff were super friendly and we found the rates to be good... More

We stayed 1 night with 2 couples in the Lodge and were very disappointed. Rooms were dirty and old fashioned, bathrooms extremely basic, probably nothing has been done in there since the logde has been build. Food was basic as well, the worst we had in Namibia. Very good was the game drive with Rhinos. The French management was not... More

This was the first lodge that we stayed at during a 3 week trip in July 2010, our 3rd trip to Namibia. It is run by a very affable French guy and his Dutch wife who have been running lodges and hotels in Africa for more than 15 years. The staff are very friendly, the food is of a high... More
