We stopped off here to have a drink after a hot day on the transpennine trail and decided to stay the night. The hotel receptionist was very helpful and recommended somewhere to store our cycles. Having done this we had that much needed drink. The hotel is attractive and the grounds well maintained. There is an outdoor area to sit... More

Booked our wedding here after coming for meals at restaurant on several occasions. Amazing wedding coordinator penny did anything we asked her to. Nothing was too much trouble. Amazing service off staff throughout the day. Rooms set out beautifully for ceremony wedding breakfast and reception. The food is beautiful. Never had a bad meal here. Will continue going back. Highly... More

Booked my wife and young daughter to stay the night at this place, as a treat I suggested she take along her mom and dad. I duly phoned the hotel, spoke to a young lady whw said she had a double room for my wife but would have to put the in-laws in 2 single rooms. OK I said gave... More

Visited with the family to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent as was the food, the drinks however were a little pricey which resulted in a 4 star rating. Would definitely recommend to others

This hotel has great potential, but basically needs a bit of money spending on it to bring it into the 21st century. As others have indicated, it is a little run down and needs some solid renovation and redecoration. The staff were lovely and the food OK. As a single man, working in the area and staying for one night,... More

I have looked at some of the reviews here and I have to agree with Tracy's review hence why I would reiterate her comments:- oldie worldy coach house in a gorgeous location, easy to find, plenty of parking, staff were really friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious, clean although the decor was a little tired in the corridors and the... More

Stayed here for a weekend function. Room was aweful, suffered from damp and water ingress was very clear. Ceiling was bulging in places and room smelled of damp. Corridor was threadbare, ripped in places and smelly, looking out of the window it was very clear no money has been spent in a long time as all the paint had gone... More

Group of 8 - Bad service, poor meal, not enough portions for everyone to have what they want. Asked for coffee would not serve at table although crockery was on table shuffled us off to bar so did not bother. Offered 10% credit note. No thanks

oldie worldy coach house in a gorgeous location, easy to find, plenty of parking, staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean with a great jacuzzi bath. Room decor was a little tired but ok, no complimentary toiletries though. Good choice of food from either restaurant or bar catering well for vegatarians which included a veggie full... More
