No staff. Room boiling hot. Room decor awful, worn down distasteful. Curtains let light in. Beds uncomfortable. Breakfast not cooked properly, unclean in eatting area. Paid £70 for the night and would of paid no more then £40. Overpriced. Have stayed in travelodges for £30 a night and been 100% better then here.

The food was excellent but the waiter service not too good .One of the waiters dropped soup behind my seat and it was all over the bottom of mine and my husbands jackets . Then when i looked at my soup there was... More

We stayed here again on New Years Eve attending one of the New Years Eve dinners in the main restaurant. We got married here in 2013 and once again the hotel did a fantastic job... The food was lovely, the atmosphere was great and the staff really do an excellent job looking after you. We had a four poster room... More

Having found ourselves stranded in the snow the Sitwell Arms opened its doors to strandees! We had a lovely room mince pies on the house and a great welcome. A glass of wine later great music - thanks to those feeding the juke box. We had a fantastic evening on a difficult night. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

We attended my nephews wedding here recently. The atmosphere was organized but informal and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. The hotel was warm and the food was really good. My only complaint was that the disabled toilet was full of chairs which made it difficult for me with mobility issues, but would have been impossible for a wheelchair user.

Business trip lasted a bit longer than expected so I booked 1 night here. Very clean, spacious room, very comfortable bed (slept like a log), very nice breakfast and very friendly staff.... All at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel and I will be back, thanks.

We went to the hotel for a Wedding and we stayed overnight afterwards with breakfast next morning. The hotel is a collection of oldish buildings so is not totally wheelchair or disabled friendly but the staff do try to help a lot. OK to split it up Food We had a Wedding Breakfast in the early afternoon and an evening... More

We'd arrived too early for the wedding fare today, so decided to have the breakfast first. This is served in the bar, not in the restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel really welcome. Our order was taken promptly by a very helpful member of staff. There wasn't a children's menu for breakfast, but when... More

We were invited to a relatives birthday party here recently. Never been before and would never go back or recommend. Food was very poor. I had salmon and melon starter, one tiny piece of salmon and melon was hard. Main course was roast beef which was ok except for hard carrots. The other people on our table had many complaints,...
