The hotel was part of a larger travel trip (09May 2014 to 29 MAY 2014) which included 8 days in Tuscany and 10 days in France with a 7 day river cruise down the Seine from Paris to Normandy. The hotel is a little difficult to find when using the GPS as we ended up in a couple of back... More

The grounds of this hotel are extremely beautiful. It is not modern but I think that modernizing it will take away from it's charm. The breakfast is great and the dinner I was served was amazing. The only downfall was not having the AC working. It was pretty hot in the room. You have the option of opening up the... More

This hotel is being updated but it still has overtones of the Grand Budapest Hotel. Rooms in the main wing are adequate but certainly approach Italian rustic in their appointments. Tis is a fun hotel if expectations are not in place for five star lodgings. Any room with a balcony provides excellent indoor-outdoor ambience for the Tuscan villa experience. A... More

The Villa delle Rose is a charming Tuscan villa with over 100 rooms. It oozes an old world charm. The furnishings are simple and dated but extremely comfortable and the staff are warm and friendly. The daily breakfasts were delightful. We ate dinner in one night and enjoyed the food very much. We thought the prices were reasonable. The train... More

We stay 6 days and we like the area a lot. We rented a car so we move around major cities like Florence, Luca, Pisa, Siena , in 1,1/2 hours, so not bad location, even that I found extremely stressful to drive in Italy and I do not recommend it unless you know basic Italian and traffic regulations. The location... More

We stayed twice in this hotel: upon arrival from Malpensa and before departure. It is conveniently located less than 15min from Malpensa airport. There is no audible street (or aircraft) noise. The hotel has an adjacent restaurant (L'Oca Nera) with very good food. The rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast is average, the staff very friendly... More

Passing through we ended up at this hotel. We loved it. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped though you can see the best period may lie in the past. For us this adds to the charm. We dined in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed a very tasteful and lovely meal including a bottle of wine for less than... More

Although I wasn't prepared for the cultural differences like no vending machines, having to leave your room key at the front desk when you left for the day and lack of American food items, I was extremely happy with the hotel. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and go out of their way to accommodate you. The room was very large... More

we were travelling on an extended cycling trip from Torino to Roma. The day was extended due to some delightful sightseeing in Lucca. with some time pressure we started to look for accommodation near Pescia. We pulled into the entrance and were well received. Our needs for bike storage were anticipated. Settling in , we found the ambience, and perhaps... More
