We had a comfortable stay at this hotel. The beds were nice and warm enough for the cold nights in Kalaw. The breakfast is really amazing, the best complementary breakfast we had in Birma. We payed $25 for a double room. We were dropped off at this village (by night bus from Bago) at 5am in the morning. Luckily the... More

This hotel is ok, nothing extremely good or bad. It's in a reasonable location, town is easily walkable. The wifi worked a bit (as is usual in Myanmar). It has en suite bathrooms and hot water showers. It's all fairly dated but clean. For other SE Asia standards it's expensive but for myanmar it's probably fairly budget accommodation. No aircon... Eastern Paradise was a comfortable, spacious and well located hotel. The staff were so friendly to our children and made them feel very welcomed. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean, wifi mostly pretty good and breakfast (including the real coffee) was excellent. Showers sometimes ran out of hot water at high demand times, also power not always working, but we didn't... More

We had phoned ahead for a room as we knew our night bus would be getting in early, we had no idea we would arrive at 2am about 3 hours ahead of when we should have arrived! There was a man there to meet us, who walked us through the streets to the guesthouse. A lady came out and ushered... More

I spent one night in this hotel before a trek to inle lake. The location is good, the room is cleaned and the price is correct... 20 $ breakfast included. The breakfast is good and with plenty of food...so full of energy to start the trek. in addition the staff is friendly and the internet connection is really good.

Location is a bit out of the main market area and the time I was there I was the only person. Rooms are a bit basic and have a green carpet which is a bit shocking :), the two girls at reception didn't speak English. It was too expensive for the 30 USD that it costed.

The staff is great (like everywhere in Burma) but the prices are far too high for the quality of the room/service. 35 USD for a very poor room is really too much. The moquette on the foor needs a general cleaning and the smell was not the best I ever had. The bathroom was also very simple but at least... More

We arrived from Bagan on the night bus, without reservation, so you can imagine how were we feeling when we arrived in the dark main street of Kalaw at 4am. We started to look for a place, and a nice young guy asked what we were looking for. Cheap doble room and get some proper rest to explore as much... More

We stayed at the Eastern Paradise Hotel for one night (before heading on a trek to inle lake). We booked this hotel as it was recommended in the lonely planet but were very disappointed upon arrival. Rooms are dark, stuffy, some have windows facing the hallway. Furniture has seen better days, the sheets are stained and the bathrooms are very... More
