An unbelievable place to disappear too and escape the daily routine life throws at you. We Could not ask for more away from home- Cheryl is amazing! Great service and unbelievably generous. We thoroughly enjoyed every second at the Tranquility Cottage. A cozy loft bedroom with a perfect wood fire and a touch of brilliance spa added in the mix.... More

Catherine and I have had the pleasure of visiting Monreale estate on a number of occasions and have always found the property to be excellent. The position and environment of the cottages are ideal for a secluded getaway especially when seeking good surroundings representative of the best that the beautiful Dandenong Ranges offers visitors. The hosts are delightful and attentive;... More

Just on 3 years ago, my partner and I visited Cottages Monreale for the first time. We were looking for a nice little quiet getaway in the Dandenongs. (We had previously stayed in a B & B, but left there after not such a nice experience). So I searched the internet and came upon views of Cottages Monreale, Sassafras...5 star..wow!... More

Had a lovely stay recently at Monreale for the weekend and both hosts Karl and Cheryl were wonderful and very welcoming. The cottage had everything you could need, including wine on arrival. A very romantic setting, and the peaceful surroundings totally relax you well away from the city. Even the open fire was easy to use, with the help of... More

My partner and I stayed 2 nights 20th and 21st June in the Lyrebird Retreat for my 29th Birthday. From the moment we walked in to the retreat, the atmosphere and room were beautiful with lovely music and a fire dispayed on the television and just perfect for the lovely garden setting within the old house. (I also loved reading... More

My wife and I had the most wonderful visit to Cottages Monreale last year. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable and warm. The staff were welcoming and kind, and the information they provided concerning the area was extremely helpful. I strongly recommend Cottages Monreale to anyone who wants a romantic weekend in the hills.

We stayed for a weekend with our friends from the UK so they could enjoy a break in the Dandenongs. We booked via last minute.com and as we were last minute, we paid an inflated price of over $800 for two nights (long weekend so perhaps rates were bumped up??) - thought it was steep but it was all we...
