I waited a few months before posting because I so many other reviewers were being hassled in response to a bad review and I wanted time to be able to give me the best perspective. This is not a resort. It is a lodge. The rooms are clean but very small. The lovely king bed took up most of the... More

My daughter and myself have just returned home after two night stay. We loved the cozy rooms the fire pit and the restaurant was very good. They even prepared a pasta dish for my daughter that was not on the menu. Thanks for a great experience. Will be back next year.

We booked a great deal which included a discount towards dinner. The resort is slightly remote but had bikes, canoes, a paddle boat, volleyball net etc. The room is compact but serviceable, super clean and comfortable. We didn't have very high expectations for our dinner, but what a surprise. The food was excellent, the dining room lovely, our server, Stacy... More

Just stayed at Hastings on July12th, 2014. The resort is small and so you need to be in the mindset that you will find your own activities to keep you occupied. If you want to chill and not have too much noise then this is the place for you. Food and service at the Steakhouse were excellent. Bancroft is the... More

We purchased a WagJag deal for two nights at the Hastings Resort. We arrived on June 30th. Upon arrival, we were able to pay the tax (not included in the voucher) and check in easily. Anton showed us to our room. The room was clean and small as we expected. The entire building smells strongly of pine/wood. Some may find... More

Got a 2 night deal off of WagJag for a Father's day gift for my husband. Our stay was fantastic. Yes, the rooms are small. But who goes on a vacation to just sit in a hotel room the whole time? The rooms were very clean and well kept, and the bed was comfortable. The staff are extremely pleasant and... More

Like many, I found out about Hastings through a great Groupon deal for only $49/night. I stayed alone for a couple of nights as a nice retreat to nowhere. And it really is in the middle of nowhere a the closest town seems to be Bancroft and it isn't much. The staff (Stacy and Anton) were very friendly and very... More

We just spent a lovely weekend at this small resort. The rooms were small but well kept. You will need to bring your own fun, there isn't much to do, but if peace and quiet and relaxation are the goal, you have a winner. Our only complaint was the food. We found breakfast reasonable however the dinner menu was sparse... More

My husband and I were there from Sunday-Tuesday from a wagjag deal that we purchased and it was a nice and peaceful trip. I found the room to be clean and quaint. The only amenities offered in the room is soap and shower gel so be sure to bring your own toiletries. There is also a mini fridge (no freezer).... More

This resort exceeded our expectations. We stayed for two nights in a jacuzzi suite in the main lodge. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and a large flat screen TV, and the bedroom had a fridge, a King bed with a large flat screen TV and a seating area. The balcony was... More
