We arrived late in Chiang Khong with 8 people after crossing the Lao border, all looking for a cheap room. The songthaew driver drove us to the Green Inn Resident where we were given a room with shared bathroom for 200 baht per night. It was great value for money, nothing more, nothing less. It's clean, simple and quite. The... More

Like the vast majority of reviewers we also only stayed one night before leaving for Laos the next day. The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable, if a little dated, but with free water, working TV and wifi, and a nice glimpse of the mighty Mekong. We did have a few ants crawling on the wooden shelf above... More

We stayed here after our 2 day slow boat trip up the Mekong from Luang Prabang. Our tuk tuk from the border new where the place was which was a good start and on reception they were expecting us, even though we had booked through booking.com - most places we stayed at had a lot of trouble finding our bookings.... Stayed here one night on third floor before crossing to Laos the next day for approximately $15. My husband (60) and I (55) traveled thru Southeast Asia for 9 weeks. We stayed in 16 guesthouses; most were between $25 to $45 per nights. I forced ranked them all: three 5 star, four 4 star, seven 3 star, one 2 star,... More

Based on the price and the good reviews, this hostel seemed like the perfect place for a quick, cheap night in Chiang Khong before crossing the border. WRONG. So Wrong...Room had bed bugs, I asked the management if they had a problem with bed bugs and they said no, and offered me a second room...with bed bugs! I was on... More

This simple hotel provides good place to rest your head the night before heading to the Laos border. Although the corridors are dingy looking and the rooms won't win any prizes for interior decoration they are clean and comfortable. It but I had a bright, airconditioned room with fridge TV and bathroom. It was also pretty quiet although it faced... More

This hotel is situated on the main street of the town. I had the aircon room with private facilities and fridge. Everything works well and the room is reasonably large. Staff Are very helpful and at five hundred Baht a night presents good value. I thoroughly recommend and will certainly stay again.

We paid 200 baht for a fan room. It turned out to have a shared bathroom and shower but we didnt mind for the price. The room was on the 4th floor (lots of stairs) and the room had an oscillating fan but no windows or ventilation. We slept fine, though definitely without covers. The noise from the shower area... We stayed here for one night before crossing to Laos the next day. It is very clean, nice spacious rooms and bathrooms. We had a nice view of the Mekong river from our room although i think there are only a few rooms with a view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet worked fine. Good location on the main road...
