We spent just one night here before crossing the border to Laos. The hotel is at the northern edge of town along the riverfront. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony with the great river views. The room had everything we needed, including more hot water than we’ve found at other locations in SE Asia. We would note, however, that the... More

We were prepared to have accomodation in a quite basic 3* hotel and we were positively surprised. Our Riverview Room (take this, the view is worth the little extra fee!) was big enough, super-clean with a small, but well working bathroom. Nice and tasty breakfast. Internet complimentary. Very friendly staff. Beautiful gardens. Tipp: On Sunday morning the local monks do... More

This was a great little place to stay the night before we needed to be at the Thailand/Laos border at 8:00 a.m. the following morning - it was only 15 minutes by car which gave us some extra time in the morning for a nice breakfast. The rooms are very clean, the beds very comfortable. And the location in the... More

We arrived at the hotel is a fair way from the bus station towards to end of the town. Check in was pleasant and wifi very good. They delivered us laos immigration forms to our room which had been dropped off by our prebooked mekong cruise (nagi of mekong - good but expensive). The room was nice with a balcony... More

Lovely bungalows, rooms spacious, clean, aircon, lovely bathroom with separate shower which is powerful. Lovely shampoo and shower gel available, wifi working great, cutesy balcony, lovely big double bed, friendly staff, great views overlooking the Melong River, coffee making facilities with 2 sachets of 3-in-1 coffee (must like sweet coffee ;-). Feels very decadent and luxurious to me; shame we... More

If you need a stop before entering Laos, this might be a solution. Nice location on the Mekong river. One night is quite enough, as there is nothing to see or do in the surroundings. Bungalow-style rooms, some with a view of the Mekong, take one of these. Breakfast Ok for this kind of place.

An overnight stay at the Teak Garden was a great way to finish our two day Mekong River trip from Luang Prabang. The large verandah bar / restaurant overlooking the river was terrific and the service okay but not standout. It's best to order Thai food here. Western food, rightly so, is not their specialty. Rooms were clean. Beds were... More

After a long local bus trip from Chiang Rae we arrived at Teak Garden in the pouring rain. Unable to go anywhere else we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, it was around 8.30pm and there was no one else in the restaurant which is a little uncomfortable. The meal we had was underwhelming. The room was okay and we... More

This hotel is a surprising gem right on the bank of the Mekong in northern Thailand. The rooms were a bit cramped but more than adequate. It was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. The hotel had a huge terrace that looked out over the river that looked across to Laos. It was great for drinks at... More
