Everything here was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and there were free bananas available. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a good view across the Mekong to Laos.

Nice place on the Mekong river with a beautiful view to laos, very nice people and great hospitality. One of the best hotel I found in all my trip in Thailand. Camera with air conditioned was clean. Good breakfast and cheap.

Where do i begin this review ......... Well, we really run away after 1 night. And traveling over a year on a small budget in Inida and Nepal we are used to places where others dont wanna stay. But this guesthouse comes for sure in our top 3 "worst budget guesthouses ever ". It is an overall rating and i... More

Conveniently located along touring itineraries, around North Thailand or for crossing over into Laos, Tammila, in Chiang Khong, is one of my favorite stop-over. The simple resort is hidden under trees and oversees the majestic Mekong, affording a great view to the east shore, with fabulous sun dawns. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Two types of rooms are offered,... More

the resort is simply run by a thai couple who loves biking and nature. The place is covered by lots fern, flowers pots and trees - making it cool and green in the day time. Homemade bread served in breakfast in the riverside restaurant - make your stay even more pleasant. P Wat the owner loves and lives on the... More

After the really touristic places in the golden triangle (Mae Sai, Chiang Saen), Chiang Khong is a much friendlier place. The Baan Tammila is a really great place with spacious rooms, great bed and relaxed atmosphere. With a private hammoch just outside your room, friendly staff and great breakfast with river views, what else do you need?

This place cannot be faulted, for a few euro we had a basic but comfortable room with mozzie screens and a clean bathroom. There was no aircom and I dont think there was a fan (we had the cheapest room) but in Feb there was no need for either. The food that we had was very nice ( much better... More

We only stayed here one night, before heading for Laos. Our room had a great panoramic view over the Mekong. When we had to get up early we were rewarded with a stunning sunrise. The breakfast and baguettes are great! The dinner we had was average (coconut curry) and bad (fish and chips). Better get onto the main street and... More

we got dropped off in chiang khong next to the market and saw a poster on a wall for this guesthouse. we decided to check it out because all the other guesthouses were a tuk-tuk ride away. for 350THB, it was a pretty decent room but not the best value we came across in thailand. the view of the mekong...
