The first 3 comments shouldn't belong in this section (trip advidor please remove them if you can). I made the mistake and followed the great ratings. The Bamboo mexican restaurant everybody is talking about is a totally different and great place, up the road from this 'Bamboo riverside Hotel', now callead 'Siam riverside guesthouse'. Happened across this restauarnt on stopover before crossing Laos border. All the food is fresh, even the bread is baked fresh daily , and delicious! The owner is very friendly and very proud of his food and his ingredients. We were staying else where in the area and went along as we had heard how good the mexican food was. This is no longer a guesthouse and just a restuarant but a very good one. The food is all homemade and they make it from scratch once you order it. The owner is very proud of this fact and... More

I loved this place, its high up on bamboo stilts overlooking the Mekong river and has a really relaxing communal area full of National Geographic magazines. The rooms are good, again bamboo (surprisingly) and comfortable (for rural Thailand). The owner likes a bottle of Chang beer and his wife cooks a mean Mexican meal which has to be tried. After...
