Like most people, my fiance and I stayed for one night before heading across the border. The place was fine. It was clean. The bathroom was basic, but no weird smells or anything. Cold showers, though, as it seemed that our shower's water heater wasn't heating the water fast enough. It was the typical Asian style where the shower isn't... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night. My room had a river view with balcony. Not overly big, but did the job. Clean. Kettle provided, but no plug socket so had to put it on top of the wardrobe to boil. Views spectacular. A lot of steps to and from rooms, so not suitable for those who can't carry... More

The location is great & our room was clean & comfortable, which was great for the price, but I think it is a better hotel for local Thai than foreigners. The breakfast had no eggs & white bread for toast. We ended up eating just a piece of toast & jam. We love Thai food, but we were hoping for... More

We looked at the hotel rooms, they seemed okay, but we eventually decided on another hotel. However it's the restaurant I'd like to comment on. We asked to sit at a table overlooking the river. While a table was being cleared we picked up a menu to check dishes and prices. It was in Thai with English underneath. When we... More

Although they didn't speak great English, the staff seemed friendly enough. Think we got upgraded to river view room as had balcony. Room decent size with free water (had to pay for tea/coffee though). Bathroom was fine. Free wifi. Large, modern hotel which was well located to nearby pubs and restaurants (try Bamboo Mexican House for amazing bread). In between boat... More

We were only here for one night, as we were crossing over to Laos the next day. The rooms were nice and clean, but don't be fooled in to having a cup of tea or coffee as you would have to pay for these items. The beds were comfy. We didn't have a control for the Air Con, we asked... More

We had a 1 night stay before taking a slow boat down the Mekong to Luang Prabang. Beautiful location looking across to Laos across the river. Rooms clean, tidy and comfortable all with river views. Good dinner and breakfast and in a central location in the midst of the town. Good service and air con. Would recommemd Le

We enjoyed our stay at Namkhong Riverside Hotel in Chiang Khong. We had a lovely view of the Mekong River from our room and it was very peaceful. The restaurant at Namkhong has good Thai food too. If we are in Chiang Khong again, we will definitely stay here.

This hotel was part of our driving package of the Golden Triangle. The hotel is on one of the main streets in Chiang Khong and has ample parking if you are driving. The reception area is functional and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel does not have an elevator (at least not that we could find) so you do... More

Good size rooms with excellent river and Lao views. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the typical buffett and was fresh due to the Thai- China tour groups dinning here on their way across the river. The restaurant also overlooks the river/Lao and is relaxing to sit enjoying a few drinks. Food is good but nothing special. Reception ( Janchay)... More
