We travel to Nakuru several times a year for both business and holiday. I keep coming back here because of the great value. Although you will not find a great amount of luxury here, you will get a clean room, hot water shower, and a wonderful buffet breakfast for a very reasonable price. The down side is that the pillows... More

Stayed here overnight to visit Lake Nakuru National Park. Had heard that good budget lodging is difficult to find in Nakuru and settled on Jumuia from a recommendation. Rooms were clean and mosquito nets are large, which was important as there were many mosquitoes there! The sheets and bedding were clean and appeared fairly new, so they may have been... More

I was concerned when I read the reviews about this hotel. The hotel was suggested to us by fellow missionaries so we took a chance. So glad it turned out well. The 8 of us stayed for about $50 more than a local guest house wanted for 2 of us!!!!!! We will stay here again in July with another mission... More

We had trouble finding a place in Nakuru that was affordable. Ended up booking three nights here, but left after two. Should have left after one. It is run by the church, our driver told us, "so there will be no drinking or smoking." (In-room welcome sheet told us we need to dress appropriately when going to the restaurant. Also... More

Cons: Really only the noise. Jumuia is in a noisy part of town so would recommend ear plugs. We stayed when there was a conference on so the conference participants woke us up very early as they began at 6am and when they came to bed late at night. The room we had was by the kitchen and the pots... More

We had planned an overnight stay at the Jumuia Guesthouse in view of our visit to the Nakuru National Park on the following day. We had based our choice pretty much on the previous reviews on TripAdvisor. Everything started out all right from the moment we arrived. The rooms were a little small, but considering the price, the friendliness of... More

We stayed here for a week, with no problems. It felt secure, with helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are small but adequate and clean. The food is good and plentiful. No dicky tummies in our group. Take a kettle or flask if you like drinks in your room. Hope to return later this year.
