We stayed at Slightly Chilled for one night before climbing Adams Peak at 2am. Was a great base to get a couple of hours sleep, eat dinner and have a hot shower (although at 60 usd a night we felt it was a little expensive) our room was probably one of the nicest, huge room with a sort of separate... Visitors come to Delhousie for one reason only – to climb Adam’s Peak. This place, from what I gather, is the best place to stay out of a pretty average bunch. We got one of the best rooms in the house, with a corner balcony and stunning views of Adam’s Peak. The room was basic but comfortable, with wooden furniture,... More

After paying about £30 HB for 2 adults it was what I expected. The rooms are very basic with a lot of old furniture, the room and bathroom were clean but the shower was little more than a dribble. The view from our balcony was amazing! There wasn't a safe in the room which I would recommend the management investing... More

End december with a friend we wanted to climb the famous Adam's Peak. The Guesthouse was full but the very friendly boss helped us to find a room. We had a room in an annex of the Guesthouse. The dinner and breakfast were very good and we had a problem with hot water, the boss made spontaneously a discount !... More

Slightly Chilled is right on the road to Adams's peak, only 10 min to walk to the start of the trail. The standard of the rooms is ok for a guesthouse, save for the hotwater, where you either have to decide for dripping hot water or colder but decent water pressure. The views of Adam's Peak from the rooms/balconies are... More

Perched on the edge of a hillside, with the room balconies overlooking Adam's Peak - the views were breath taking. This place was well set-up for people treking up Adams Peak. They provided us with an excellent buffet style evening meal and gave us some useful tips on the walk up Adams Peak. Upon returning from our walk (which was... More

We arrived at Delhousie to be shocked at how tiny this town was! Slightly Chilled was one of two accommodation options we inspected in the town. We chose it because it offered good value at 5000 rupee a night, including a buffet dinner and a continental breakfast that turned out to be huge (coffee, juice, toast & jam, fruit, eggs).... More

this place is geared for people who are not intending to sleep a full night... so fine if you're doing adam's peak but i wouldn't stay longer than needed. it isn't a very homely place; the dining room/reception area is sparse and cold and the bedroom was damp. we saw a few cockroaches (no big problem), but the sheets were... When you arrive there, it seems you have reached the end of the world. It is surrounded by tea plantations, over looking the river. The guesthouse has its own style, the rooms we had were very pleasant, colourful, large. It is not a three-star hotel, but the place is very pleasant. We have had a very nice walk in the... More
