We went on our family trip to Nuwara-Eliya and then to Maskeliya in May and it was at Wathsala Inn we stayed during our stay in Delhouse. The best of the service at hotel was its food and the food was delicious. The service of the staff was great. The rooms were fine and the location of the hotel was... More

Full of mosquitos at night, remember to use the mosquito nets! The rooms are very spacious. Nice scenery from the balcony. Good location as it is walking distance from Adam's peak (but do note that it is the furthest hotel from the mountain). Service was good with a welcome drink. Costs about 3500 rupees for a triple room (room only!)... More

The room we had at Wathsala Inn was the worst in the 4 weeks we spent in Sri Lanka. The bathroom floor was constantly wet due to a leak from the cistern. When trying to shower the cold water sprayed out from a further leak in a pipe all over the toilet. Any form of temperature control on the shower... More

First, the best bit about this place was that I arranged for a taxi from here to pick us up from Hatton railway station, take us to Kitulgala to find some white water rafting and then take us back to the hotel, all before we left England, as we wanted to pack in as much as possible in a couple... In Dalhousie all hotels make good business - people stay there only few hours before and after climbing to Sri Pada (Adam's Peak). In Wathsala Inn know their job very well so it is good place for staying. Rooms are spacious and clean (but they don't have trash cans). Bathroom in my room was clean but in doors were windows... The place is ok. Hot water didn't work the best in our room. It was good at first but then ran put. Also, you need to have a shower early in the morning on your way back as the electricity is cut off at a certain time. The food was good. We ate the buffets which was plentiful and tasty.... More

The rooms aren't great, but if your only there for half a night (like we were) with the idea of leaving at 2am to do the climb, then it's adequate. However, if you're expecting high standard quality rooms, then this isn't the place for you. But bear in mind options are limited as Dalhouse is literally in the middle of... More

Stayed here for 2 nights while ascending Adam's peak (there is no other reason to visit Dalhousie - or Delhouse as it is locally known). The Inn itslef is quite a big, ramshackle place with great views of the peak, both from the restaurant and our room's balcony. The room itself was basic but clean, although a little musty. Hot... Most people go to Delhouse to climb Adam's Peak, and we were no different. There are actually a lot more hotels in the town that TA would have you believe - I think Lonely Planet has a few more in there. But nonetheless I booked a room at Wathsala thinking it was the only option. It's not exactly a slick... More
