Leslie was very welcoming and wonderful character! We were greeted with a large pot of tea and chocolate biscuits and a heater switched on in our room. The home cooked dinner was delicious and good selection of hot and cold bits for breakfast. Clean, child friendly, highly recommend!

We found this little gem via an Unusual Escape box - fantastic location with a very warm welcome from Les - even though we were late in the middle of a stormy night. The rooms were clean and well furnished, with the bathroom being spotless. The beds were comfortable and the little touches (like the heater being on, and making... More

We stayed for one night, including our large dog, on Friday 25th oct and wished we could have stayed for longer. We were met by Les on our arrival and shown to our room, which was lovely. We were given a welcome drink, local beer, and had a lovely evening meal, which proves Les is a great cook and makes... More

Lovely B&B close to The Hadrian`s wall Military museum and Vindolonda Roman Fort archeological site. The old Repeater Station is the half way point of the Hadrians wall National trail and only a few hundred meters from the route. The owner Les will make you most welcome and will go out of his way to help with any request. Book... More

Very comfortable and welcoming. Definitely made to feel at home.It was great to be able to arrive early and still feel welcome. Having access to laundry facilities was also very welcome, especially when you're doing the walk. The owner, Les, was very convivial and amusing, and made us feel right at home. As it's the only place around for miles... More

A lovely welcoming little place to stay that really does feel like you're sitting comfortably in your own home, thanks mainly to the owner, host, chef and joker of the Station, Les. He's a hoot! Made our trip. Thanks Les, we'll pop in for a cuppa soon.

This was bought as a Unique place to stay, well it was certainly that! It's the first time I have had supper with the host asleep and snoring in the guest sitting room! No desert that day as the girl who does wasn't there. The rooms were clean and warm but the fact that there were no keys did freak... More

Good comfortable accommodation in the middle of nowhere. Great welcome and very relaxed atmosphere to greet the weary and wet walker, pleased to have the warmth and tea and biscuits on shedding the wet boots. Les has all the charm and roguish good humour of his reputation with an endless flow of anecdotes. A unique place on the well trodden... More

This is a small, basically one-man, bed and breakfast operation that caters mainly (but not exclusively) to hikers and bicyclists, since it's convenient to the Hadrian's Wall Path, and on a bicycle route. There are several choices of accommodation, ranging from bunkbeds to en suite rooms. Prices are extremely reasonable, perfect for those passing through on the trails. Although on... More
