We scraped together the money to spend New Year 2011/2012 here and it was entirely worth it. Our room at the front of the house was lovely, modern, clean and comfy. The bed was giant and great new year viewing to be had on the flat screen TV. We had incredible food every night across so many different beautiful rooms... More

This was out second visit the last being in January 2011 - really happy with the hotel and our stay. On B & B rate but ate in the downstairs bar on the last night - food was excellent, cosy dining area, fast service, excellent food - could not fault it. We stayed 3 nights (16th-19th) this time and had... More

I do try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I just cannot agree with the description of the rooms and the standards of accommodation given on the website. I am a realistic customer - I'm not looking for 5* luxury, or modern finishing in an old Victorian building. But I expect cleanliness and for fixtures and furniture not... More

My husband and I got married at the hotel just before Christmas 2011 and we could not have been more delighted with the service. We booked three of the public rooms for the wedding and were also given a complimentary room which had breathtaking views. All of our guests were gushing with praise at the accomodation, the meal and the... More

We spent Saturday night here and although the standard rooms are ok I'm glad we had got an internet offer and not paid full price as they are not "first-class" as advertised. Free internet is offered but I went to reception on at least 4 occasions to ask for the password and it was unattended. The Quaich bar is cosy... More

Good all round Hotel. The food in the down stairs bar was good value for money. We stayed for the New Years Eve party and rate it 10 out of 10. On good tip is if you leave the Hotel make sure you leave your key at the reception.

We stayed at this hotel after the previous night staying at one of their sister hotels in carnoustie and have to say this didn't match up as well, The hotel is in a lovely setting and taking into consideration it was built over 100 ago, it was nice, we just felt that there was a few issues with food, service... Went here for hogmany as i said in my last review & i was not disappointed, the meal was excellent, the singer was excellent & the piper just finished it off. There is the new pub & also the whisky bar for a drink or a bar lunch. The staff were friendly, helpful & cheery as always & went out... More

We booked Craigellachie for a 2 night New Year stay staying the 30th and the 31st nights. On arrival we checked in OK dropped our baggage into our room and then headed downstairs again for afternoon tea. This was served efficiently enough however the sandwhiches were slightly stale and the cakes were quite dull. The only upside were the scones... More
