"The Craig" is finally seeing some love, after many years of neglect, and it provides the quality experience that is needed in the heart of Malt Whisky country. The new owners are continuing to renovate the property, but have started by upgrading the bedrooms, bathrooms, the bar and restaurant, and are close to reopening a new and improved Quaich Bar... Been wanting to eat here for months but always working. All my friends said the food was ace. Our 1st problem came when we booked our table. I booked on the Monday afternoon for Friday night we were told it would have to be after 8pm, that was ok because we fancied a drink before our meal. Thursday we phoned... More

Found this lovely hotel by chance and great that they accept dogs. Room was tastefully decorated in country style with a comfortable bed. We had excellent dinner and breakfast, although breakfast staff/service could be better prepared. Would certainly recommend and stay again.

The hotel has been recently done up and it is a great place to dine. It has a laidback feel with a gastro pub style menu. I was there twice this month and the food was fab both times. Monkfish tampura was delicious and the copper dog sausages (with black pudding in them) were quite simply the best banger I've... More

Came for supper as a treat but left feeling disappointed. Salad of roasted peaches and brie was mushy peaches and unripe Brie still fridge cold; hot smoked salmon salad was just that - a pile of fish and an undressed, coarse green salad; companion's soup accompanied by stale slice bread; main course cod and shredded courgettes accompanied by a great... I was fortunate to have to come to Morayshire on business and due to a number of events in the local area, hotel rooms were hard to find. However I got a good deal through this website and stayed here for one night and was glad that I did. The first thing to say is that if you are looking... More

First trip to Speyside and enjoyed the hotel facilities and food. Stayed in one of the larger rooms and was very happy with the furnishings/size of the room. The food at the Copper Dog was excellent and the staff did an excellent job with the service. We stayed here during the first week in August 2014 and refurbishing for the... More

Good things: The redecoration is great. The dinner was excellent - beautifully cooked and attentively served. Less good things Staff are not at all slick and are a little amateurish for such an expensive hotel. Band in the bar was far too loud until 1am - complaints poorly handled at the time, though the bill was slightly reduced on checkout.... More
