An absolute gem of a hotel in a quiet location but also perfectly situated for visiting the highlands and the whisky trail in particular. The hotel is simply beautiful, very elegant but cosy and comfortable at the same time. Sitting at the libray, by the roaring fire, drink in hand. Can't get any better! The staff were also very helpful,... more

We won a raffle for one nights dinner bed and breakfast break at this hotel,to me it was an exceptional prize and in a good cause (Well done Craigellachie for supporting cancer research ,this in no way affects my review) My first contact with the hotel was good the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful despite our dithering over the... more

Stayed for just one night and loved this place. The hotel itself was large but also cozy. Really enjoyed the library/whiskey bar and the restaurant was excellent. more

We stayed with friends for two nights at this hotel. We were shown rooms of quite different quality although the price was the same; our friends' room was small, dark, and had a smell After some negotiation they did receive a larger room with two windows. We, although able-bodied, had been given the 'disabled' room on the main floor, with... more

After having had a pleasant coffee in the lovely library a few days previously we decided to have lunch on a wet Friday 28/8/09. Only one other couple in the dining room (turned out they were resident) and a waitress with a grubby waistcoat almost made us leave, but stayed anyway. With only two tables occupied, service was not good.... more

I have read all the other reviews, so to start with the negative, some areas could do with a lick of paint, that aside, the locatio0n, staff attitude, food, whisky selection etc is quite simply the best. I stay in hotels a couple of times a week and I am hard to please, this one really hits the spot>>> Go! more

Having heard so many wonderful reports about this hotel with its award winning chefs and the world famous Quaich bar we decided to go a head and book. So my wife and i were looking really forward to spending the long weekend up in Speyside. We arrived to find no one at reception and waited 10-15 minutes to finally be... more

We booked two nights DB&B at this lovely hotel during the Speyside Whisky Festival, intending to use it as a base for touring the area and intending to take advantage of the Quaitch Bar's selectoin of whisky. Our room was small, but pleasant. Bathroom was large. The hotel is a great old building, with rooms of varying size and finish... more

Having stayed here many times previously, we were looking forward to a return after three years. Sadly the sparkle has gone, despite a very friendly welcome at the reception, the reception staff were always very friendly. Room was very small, we wanted a room with a walk in shower to assist my disabled wife, room would be better classified as... more
