First time in the Highlands and the hotel played its part in a great 4 days in the area to enjoy Whiskey trials, golf and Highland games. Great location. Staff were attentive and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel has a touch of class, with spacious and well furnished rooms, food was outstanding and good entertainment on a... More

Just had a very nice meal with my family in the restaurant. The setting, decor, helpful and polite staff and quality of food could not be faulted. The bar is well stocked with a varied choice. Very highly recommended and will be going back again.

This was our first trip to Scotland, and the Craigellachie Hotel was wonderful! The rooms were lovely; the staff was so friendly and helpful; the food and beverages at the Copper Dog ( restaurant at hotel) were fantastic--everything was just what we were hoping for. We were thrilled with our visit.

We have stayed here before under previous owners and always loved it and the new owner is spending money on the refurbishment but it still has a little to go. Our corner room overlooked the car park and the main road into Dufftown and was a bit noisy. The room was a fine size and the bathroom spacious but attention... More

This is our return visit and its almost perfect. A warm welcome, a lovely room, keenly priced food served well in a refurbished eatery, tasty grub and lovely beer. So to minor, and I mean minor niggles. The door key has large clunky fobs on, which disturbed our sleep as others opened their doors. I did not notice any fire... More

Holiday in Moray and found this gem - excellent rib eye steak with the trimmings - suprb service from Kieran who was tremendous front of house. Highly recommend. Will be back before return home. Once whisky room and lounge open it will be truly unique.

My wife and I were first here 14 years ago! Touring distilleries and we decided it was time to revisit the area! Now the Craigellachie hotel was once a centre point of Moray with it's award wining restaurant and whisky bar! At it's peak the Times news paper voted it one of the top 50th best country hotels in the... More

Spent 1 night here for business in June 2014. Arrived weary from a very long drive and on arrival, the receptionist had dug out my key and registration form by the time I got to the desk, it was a great guess but I was happy to not even have to say anything! She was so polite and helpful and... More

Hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment; everything is new and well appointed. Staff were perfect with attention to detail and as for the whisky selection, well go and see for yourself... We were lucky enough to see inside the new 'Quake Bar' which is being completed and awaits a package of 1000 different types of whisky!! And, I thought the... More

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Everything yes. Just go. After years of watching this beautiful space plummet at last it has risen from the ashes. Staff are clearly being well trained which is a rare thing in these parts sadly.
