we stopped here for lunch. the food was excellent, and very reasonably priced,(a lot of gluten free items available), the staff were great. There is a very extensive drinks menu, lots of really good whisky and wine at very reasonable prices.

Enjoyed afternoon tea for four in the library, personalised named printed menu's are a nice added touch. We enjoyed the library to ourselves with the sun streaming in through the windows. Cold smoked salmon on nori bread, egg mayonnaise on curried bread, honey roast ham and celeriac remoulded on sun dried tomatoe bread. Warm fruit and plain scones with clotted... More

This is a beautiful hotel that has been well cared for and sensitively renovated. Our room, on the second floor, was recently refurbished, spotlessly clean, and the furnishings and fittings were beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom provisions were lovely. We had a wonderful breakfast in the dining room. The dining room is an elegant space! The... More

The staff were altogether very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor. So we didn't benefit from the great view. I'd ask for a room in one of the upper floors next time. Room was big enough and in good conditions. I liked the big bathroom with shower and bathtub. The food was great throughout. Good breakfast,... More

I wasn't sure of hotel this would be and pulling up to it it seemed like a small sleepy village hotel. But this place was amazing in every way. It has been renovated recently so is very nice, but has maintained its old charm. It also boasts one of the largest whiskey bar in Scotland, so that was a huge... More

I have been staying at the Craigellachie on and off for many years. Over that period, the staff may change but the high standards of cleanliness and style have stayed high. The "new bar" is lovely and a pleasant place to have a "dram" (large range of whisky labels to choose from) or have the tiple of your choice. The... More

We put some friends of ours here, they checked in and found that the rooms were a little small so they went down to see the manager to try and sort out the problem, they were told the manager was not on duty until tomorrow. We tried to upgrade but they wanted another £100 to upgrade to a larger room,... More

On our way back from the Black Isle Show,, Thursday 6th August, My Husband decided to take a detour and stop of at the Craigellachie Hotel. What a lovely surprise it turned out to be, we hadn't booked but were told that although it was particularly busy they could manage to fit us in. The staff were very welcoming and... More

A most enjoyable stay using the hotel as the base for my recent three day visit to Speyside. Bedrooms where furnished to a very comfortable standard in a simple but effective décor, and along with the 'public rooms' created a relaxed ambiance with a style absolutely in keeping with the locale. Staff were genuinely friendly (no corporate training in evidence,... More
