My wife and I were first here 14 years ago! Touring distilleries and we decided it was time to revisit the area! Now the Craigellachie hotel was once a centre point of Moray with it's award wining restaurant and whisky bar! At it's peak the Times news paper voted it one of the top 50th best country hotels in the... More

Spent 1 night here for business in June 2014. Arrived weary from a very long drive and on arrival, the receptionist had dug out my key and registration form by the time I got to the desk, it was a great guess but I was happy to not even have to say anything! She was so polite and helpful and... More

Hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment; everything is new and well appointed. Staff were perfect with attention to detail and as for the whisky selection, well go and see for yourself... We were lucky enough to see inside the new 'Quake Bar' which is being completed and awaits a package of 1000 different types of whisky!! And, I thought the... More

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Everything yes. Just go. After years of watching this beautiful space plummet at last it has risen from the ashes. Staff are clearly being well trained which is a rare thing in these parts sadly.

Copper Dog Restaurant Wonderful atmosphere, great staff and incredible food...which is what you're there for after all! We had dinner on Sunday night and all of it was just what you would expect to find at top restaurant worldwide... local, fresh food with a twist!

We arrived as a party of eight having walked all day in considerable heat to find all four rooms at 3-30pm not ready. The receptionist was not aware of the fact that housekeeping had not even started. We were hot, tired and needed a rest. Sat outside for an hour and then I spoke to a lady who introduced herself... Booked online via Tripadvisor. On arrival it is not clear where the reception is. It is on the first floor but the entrance off the car park is the bar which means that you have to carry your luggage up a set of narrow stairs. Note to hotel your signage sorted out. First impressions of the hotel very smart. Having... More

This hotel was FANTASTIC!! My husband booked our Scotland vacation and picked this hotel for our 2 night stay to tour the Aberlour and Macallan distilleries and it was nothing short of amazing! From checkin to checkout the staff was prompt and courteous. Upon checkin our suite was complete with pink rose petals on the bed, a dozen chocolates and... More

Delighted to see an addition to the venues available for eating for both locals and visitors alike. BUT! When considering the Copper Dog we balanced quality against value against ambience. The Copper Dog bar tries to be all things at once. It doesn't take many drinks for a small number to make a lot of noise, but we persevered, even... More
