Had a a large party booked to eat in the restaurant, the food was great but the service was terrible, there was over 10 of us and nearly all of us had 3 courses and was drinking so spent an awful lot of money, we got 1 bottle of water to start with which was ok for 5 of us... More

It was the first time that we visited the restaurant since it was renovated. And I most say, they have done a great job! Nice interior, warm welcome, great staff en the most important, great food! Compared with the highlander inn across the street, the food is tastier and from a higher standard. Highly recommended! One good advice, pre-book your... More

Having pre-booked a table for four at the Hotel's Copper Dog Restaurant on the occasion of my wife's 40th birthday, we were called on the day of the booking and asked to change the time of our meal to a later time in order to accommodate a wedding at the hotel. Due to the very slim chance of getting anywhere... More

The food is great but they only had 250 different kinds of whisky. The bar was being renovated. After it is finished, this year I think they will be at over 1000 different kinds. Tried a couple of drams of the MacAllan 1950. Wow, was that ever a great year, i saw my first light of day and they made... More

Recently changed hands and in process of improving things. Room, very warm and welcoming, clean and good bathroom. My room didnt have a TV, so check if you need to. New Bar / Restaurant has very different feel and really good vibe. Great local food and range of whisky, although some will miss the old tasting bar. Good service and... More

"The Craig" is finally seeing some love, after many years of neglect, and it provides the quality experience that is needed in the heart of Malt Whisky country. The new owners are continuing to renovate the property, but have started by upgrading the bedrooms, bathrooms, the bar and restaurant, and are close to reopening a new and improved Quaich Bar... Been wanting to eat here for months but always working. All my friends said the food was ace. Our 1st problem came when we booked our table. I booked on the Monday afternoon for Friday night we were told it would have to be after 8pm, that was ok because we fancied a drink before our meal. Thursday we phoned... More

Found this lovely hotel by chance and great that they accept dogs. Room was tastefully decorated in country style with a comfortable bed. We had excellent dinner and breakfast, although breakfast staff/service could be better prepared. Would certainly recommend and stay again.

The hotel has been recently done up and it is a great place to dine. It has a laidback feel with a gastro pub style menu. I was there twice this month and the food was fab both times. Monkfish tampura was delicious and the copper dog sausages (with black pudding in them) were quite simply the best banger I've... More
