Having last been in the Craigellachie Hotel around 1952 as a school child. We took a chance of booking for a night, being back in the Spey side area. Fortunately, after quite a chequered history over the previous 60+ years. The Hotel has been recently purchased and renovated. We can only congratulate the new owners on what they have achieved!... We had two rooms booked at this hotel following a recommendation from the MaCallan distillery. Sadly due to a serious family medical emergency we had to cancel our reservations to spend time at the ICU unit at Edinburgh hospital. The hotel accepted the cancelation but refused to waive their cancelation policy and chose to charge us in full for both... More

I'm actually still in the hotel but have enjoyed absolutely every aspect so far so wanted to leave the excellent review that the staff, Chefs & owners deserve. My double room is exceptionally clean and has absolutely everything & lots of little touches (listed below) have made my stay so, so great that I certainly will be booking again very... More

Free upgrade to a junior suite was a good start, as was getting into our room at 12 noon when we arrived early. Great view from the hotel across the Telford designed bridge to Autumnal trees. View not quite as good as it was as trees are growing. Large comfortable room. Light for reading a little poor, but rearranging the... More

This is a magnificent hotel in the heart of the Speyside whisky land. Very polite and professional staff, excellent location and very good maintenance of all indoor and outdoor areas. You will enjoy the hearty breakfast on offer, as well as the tasty food at the hotel restaurant. And if you're a whisky fan, you're in for a real treat:... More

Very comfortable and spacious room, tho a bit dark in the bedroom, the bathroom was very well lit and spacious as well. Spotlessly clean room and very comfy bed. Evening meal and breakfast were tasty. All staff so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would love to return.

Very tastefully refurbished hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable, with lovely toiletries and soft cashmere throws. The guests' lounge was a lovely place to rest with plenty of mindless coffee table books to lose yourself in. No fine dining, just good pub food in the Copper Dog. I would definitely return and recommend it to family and... More

I tried to book our wedding here but got tired of waiting and chasing to see if they had availabilty. Not what you want with a wedding venue. I tried to then book a buffet the night before the wedding and after a month I happened to be in there to have dinner in the Copper Dog. They acknowledged my... More

While traveling through Scotland we stopped at this hotel for 1 night. We have several places and this is bar far my least favorite. It was recently redone to the place is clean and well maintained. The cost of the room was 180 pounds which was overpriced for the room. They told us our twin room was on the garden... More

Central location for visiting Distilleries and cooperage; preferred to Dufftown. Very good restaurant with an alternative nearby. Enjoyed breakfast variety. Staff very helpful. Visit to Glenfiddich and downtown Dufftown within 6 - 7.5 km along good walking path. Newly refurbished whisky tasting room has wide variety, Willing to provide multiple drams of whiskey at once (at full price) for inter... More
