Add staying at the Old Rectory to the list of things you must do at least once. All the other reviews (except one) sum up our experiences. Suffice to say it was faultless with David and his team being the perfect hosts. I hope we manage to return for another weekend of pampering in the not too distant future. more

My Husband and I stayed for 3 nights with friends in rooms 1 and 10, We booked the champagne, chocs, and flowers all of which were of the highest quality. we had read the reviews on this site so were expecting it to be good but it was even better than we could have hoped. the bedrooms were roomy and spotless, the... more

Booked this after staying at a very ho-hum hotel, and was delighted by the decor of the well-proportioned rooms and the facilities. Once that had worn off, though, the influence of the host became manifest. Our room had various notices and stickers giving dire warnings about the size of fines imposed on smokers (which we aren't, incidentally), and small things... more

My partner was turning 40.We booked to stay the night before his birthday. A treat away from the joys of being parents. We booked in advance, with a friendly and polite service. The hotel was easy to find and set in nice gardens. We didn't expect to see building work. This did not effect our stay at all. The inside of... more

The Old Rectory is a cut above your common or garden B&B! The rooms are excellent with a service to match. The staff are happy, helpful, attentive and always cheerful. We stayed in the "Stretton" room for three nights over the Bank Holiday, and had a comforatble and relaxing stay. We would more than happily book another long weekend at... more

I have lost count of how many hotels and bed and breakfasts I have stayed at over the years but this one is near the very top! David and his team could not have made us feel more welcome - nothing was too much trouble and he is a mine of information about the surrounding area - especially great places... more

Excellent 5 star B and B set in peaceful neighbourhood. Each room beautiful ( stayed twice now ). Owner very helpful, even books local restaurants and taxi's for guests. Breakfast all local ingredients. Very hospitable, cannot recommend enough. Visit Blist Hill Victorian museum while there and walk along past the Iron Bridge on a nice summer's evening !!! more

Clean & comfortable rooms (we chose the Ludlow room which has a spa bath - terrific). Great friendly service and a blooming hearty breakfast - local produce well cooked. What more could you want? more

We spent three nights at The Old Rectory and had a fantastic stay. This is without doubt one of the best B&Bs you can find - B&B is probably an inadequate description. Set just outside Broseley itself, the house is set away from the main road, down a driveway. We were welcomed cordially and escorted to our room on the... more
