The owner of Yew House B&B, Robert, runs a fabulous establishment to which cleanliness, hospitality and friendliness are of an exceptionally high standard. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

Clean, modern house but let down by unaccomodating host.
Shoes off at the door, nowhere to sit and relax apart from the kitchen table, discouraged from having cooked breakfast (despite the high price), microwaved sausages and bacon...
Then kicked out by 9am on a Sunday and sheets/towels stripped from room whilst taking breakfast...apparently to prepare for the next guests. Promised...

Me and my partner stayed for one sat night whilst visiting friends..also we were given the house drills as soon as we exchanged a 'hi'! we found Robert very patronising and obsessive! He even physically showed us how to open and close the door quietly so as not to wake others!!! Very robotic almost like he didn't care and was...

The house itself is situated in a very quiet location and set back off the main road. When you go into Yew House, you are asked to remove your shoes as...

Robert, the owner, phoned me back and explained that he could provide accommodation, a double bedroom with en suite shower.
I stupidly did not check the price. The room was very well appointed, very warm and comfortable. The shower was better than a lot of hotels I have stayed in.
Robert had explained that he could only provide a 'continental'...

I picked Yew House by chance from yell.com I think. I stayed one night when my wife and I's baby was born in Crowborough, enabling me to get a good nights sleep without a long drive home.
I called Robert (the proprietor) to check there was a room available and I arrived at around 9pm.
The large detached house is...
