We stayed at Hitsch Huus for an overnight break in Fanas in April. Spring had just arrived and the local area is beautiful.
We stayed in the lovely Africa room which has access to the balcony, a double bed and nice bath/shower room. The room facilities were simple but practical and the room was very clean. No TV or tea...

The Hitsch-Huus is a real insider tip. I was looking for a quiet place in the mountains of Switzerland, not too far away from Zurich (Airport). From the airport you get to Fanas within 1 h 30 min by car. Fanas is indeed a charming, small and quiet place. No mass-tourism, exactly what I was looking for. And the Hitsch-Huus?...

Hitsch Huus is a lovely lodge high in the Swiss Alps. The immaculate and comfortable rooms all have a different theme. The food is delicious. The owners are very friendly and helpful and speak at least 5 languages! There are many wonderful hiking trails and even a cable car from the small,nontouristy, tranquil village to the top of the mountain....
