I stayed in this hotel with my friends from UK and Australia, who were normally accustomed in staying at cheap villas in Bandungan, before going for a railtour in Ambarawa. Since I drove my car all the way from Surabaya to this hotel, I was initially perplexed by its rather hidden location (I initially thought this hotel is located in... More

Stayed here as a stop along our tour for one night. The place is impressive. It's clean and huge.. Sadly as it was only one night we didn't get to see much but... The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was enormous and really clean and plesant again. Food wise the restaurant offers a decent menu but alot... More

This hotel was chosen for us by a tour company, and we arrived early evening after a long day on Indonesian roads. Initially we were disappointed that it was so far out of the city, and the rain meant we had to spend the evening there. What a lovely relaxing setting, sipping beer on the terrace, and enjoying the views... More

The plantation style of the hotel made it an appealing and interesting place to stay, and our room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the pool seemed to have a film over it & not appear as clean as we would have liked it to be - thus we decided to give swimming a miss, which was disappointing as there wasn't... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Kayu Arum Resort and Spa in May 2014. We loved Kayu Arum's well manicured grounds, the individualized and tasteful furnishing in each of the guest room, the attentive staff and tasty food (both Indonesian and Western cuisine). We thought the resort setting is brilliant to ensure residential guests privacy, we truly loved the garden... More

I was staying at Kayu Arum for 1 night (check in April 26, check out April 27), and was staying at Akasia 9. When I checked out, I forgot my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 charger. I realized it when I was already out of Salatiga. So I urgently asked my friend to check it, but it's gone already. I'm sure... More

When the night comes, you will feeling a ghost around you. The hotel rooms is located in back corner of the resort, far from main building and restaurant which located near main gate, during the night, the street leading from the lobby to the room very dark and twisty. This is typical small boutique hotel which have a good spa... More

Kayu Arum's dinner is excellent find in Salatiga, The menu is western and asian - fusion. You are also able to have decent wine and good beer at two storey restaurant. For weekend there was a pool party: live music and nice food.

We love Kayu Arum Resort in Salatiga. The hotel Is beautifully build as an "old and classic style"' with wooden furniture in the midst of lush garden. The swimming pool uses fresh spring water. The spa is absolutely must try one! Price-wise, it is affordable, and it comes with afternoon tea as well, the location is not in the main... More
