We stayed at the Maroc Lodge as the second part of our honeymoon and what a treat it was. The gardens are stunning - even nicer than the Majorelle Gardens in Marrakech! There are only a handful of spotlessly clean stand alone 'pavillions' and ours was overlooking the infinity pool with a view out to the mountains. The staff were... more

We stayed for 3 nights first in Marrakesh then moved on to Maroc Lodge for 2 nights. I definately preferred the Maroc. This place is amazing. The people who run it, Beatrice and Bruno, are really lovely people, very friendly and will do anything for you. It was my fiances 40th birthday for the trip and they made a cake... more

Having spent 6 days in the over-bearing and generally disappointing Marrakech we spent 5 nights at Maroc Lodge. From arrival until departure we received perfect hospitality with incredibly polite staff, excellent food and no request rejected. The location was idyllic with a garden that out-matches any of the public gardens in Marrekech, and views overlooking the Atlas mountains and nearby... more

We stayed 2 nights at the lodge. Wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful separate private lodges, stunning views, fabulous food and service, even a roaring fire set for us one rainy night. The landscaped natural gardens are to die for. Truly a paradise to rest and recupe and enjoy the real Morocco when you want to get away from... more

A beautiful lodge looking out to the Atlas Mountains. The staff were very friendly, wonderful service. Amazing food and a very peaceful setting in which to relax. Just 40 mins taxi ride from Marrakech (150 dirhams). They also have a private hammam and opportunities to go on guided treks. Well worth a stay for a night or more. more

After spending four nights at the Maroc lodge - we have left Morocco (and the Marrakech area) with nothing but positive experiences. Although the lodge is 40minutes from Marrakech by taxi - this little inconvenience quickly evolved into a better way for us to experience both the Atlas mountains and Marrakech without being overwhelmed by the city that is Marrakech.... more

We have just returned from our 2 week homeymoon in Morocco where we spent 3 nights at the Maroc Lodge, following on from 4 nights in Marakech. After the craziness of Marakech, Maroc Lodge was unexpected and amazing - the perfect hideway in the middle of nowhere. Our pavillion (they don't do rooms!) was fabulous with a balcony directly on... more

As soon as we arrived at Maroc Lodge we knew we would not want to leave. We originally booked for 3 nights but stayed for 8. Why go anywhere else when you have found a little bit of heaven? There is little to attract tourists to Amizmiz town, but Maroc Lodge is a different story. This is an oasis of... more

Such a fantastic place to go. 1 hour in a cab from Marrakesh, and to a different pace, and to Berber land - literally a higher level. We loved the "room" we stayed in - actually a 2-bed house with a lounge/dining room and open fire. We mostly took our meals in the dining room of our "room", served by... more

We stumbled upon that place by accident following the little white signs. Due to time we only stayed for 2 nights but thoroughly enjoyed the hosipitality, the setting, the fantastic lodges and the views. It is a great base for day excursions or for simply lounging around by the pool or inside by the fire. I strongly recommend that place... more
